There would be a separate part of the catalog for user-made hats. They could be moderated and sold, but it would have to be BC only.

Some people can do it. Plus you wouldn't be able to copy them since it's a MESH file that you upload to make it.

It's not very hard. Now to make a super complex one is different. You just need to get the hang of a 3D design program.

Most likely because ROBLOX does not want separate items being invested in expensive hats that are user-made more than staff-made. Making user-made hats ultimately will decrease the purchases of staff-made hats because the ROBLOX users have way more freedom in the customization of the hats,probably increasing much more profit than the staff-made hats. |

She's partially right though,you don't need the EXACT file to copy an IDEA someone made. It's like tracing a drawing on paper. There are millions of players on ROBLOX,limiting to 5 hats a user wouldn't demolish the massive upload of hats. Also with the fact that ROBLOX would have to moderate the hats so no inappropriate uploads are entered,which costs ROBLOX more money to hire more mods.

@blockoo: an intelligant idea and logical solution, but thats not how roblox works. roblox has four kinds of moderators. fourm, image, report and super moderators (super mods do a little bit of all)
they have massive slowdown, mainly because they have a little bit of them covering here and them covering there, why add to the problem?
