No, it's not. When playing any game, Roblox consumes 1000kbps, however, that's my maximum speed, so it is wether unknown if Roblox needs more speed than that. But seriously, that's the average connection speed.
What is wrong with you, Roblox? Have you gotten so greedy you don't care for your NBC/BC players anymore? |

Also, I played the game for a bit, and playing 1 minute of the game results in downloading a 3mb file.
If you play the game for 1 hour, you will download 1GB and 980MB. |

This is completely besides this thread. You were being mean and inconsiderate in some of your comments.
I would think that a person who sounds as smart as you would know that ROBLOX is mainly comprised of young kids who just want to have fun on the internet, and that you know you're bound to get some "answers" that don't really answer to anything about your complaints.

Though this is old comments, I just had to chime in as about 2 months ago I introduced my son to this game. It did not take me long at all to realize there was a HUGE problem with this game (And this game ONLY)where outrageous and mysterious use of speed is concerned. ALmost immediately I noticed that whenever my son has robolx running on his comp, all the games, speed, connection crashed eventaully on mine. (and of course his).
I mean we can both be watching vids on youtube or playing online games at the same time with not a single lag or fltter...unless he has roblox on, at which point my games are so choppy and the internet speed is just sucked right up to the point of actually crashing (resetting) my modem.
Whatever system or data functions roblox uses eeds to be seriously redefined. Perhaps if this much data is required to play roblox there should be some sort of foundation download/install where some of this data can be present on the computer? As allI can thinkof, with 20 years of internet usage, would be that such a huge amount of data is required/transfered during gameplay that anythhing under a 20gig connectin cannot handle it if anythig else is using the connection.
Whatever it is, find it, redefine it, recode it, whatever, because i'm beginning to DREAD the fact I found and introduced my son to it as whenever he plays it, i am..well..almost SOL regarding using my ccomputer at the same time..lol
I've not seen this kind of extreme usage of an internet data stream in any other game in my life. |

Bro,3mbps used to work fine for me,now after some recent dumb update roblox stopped working on 3mbps speed. :( |

I only run around 1 megabit download and I can play most games. large games require more time to load but they play fine afterwards. my upload is 20 kiloBYTES per second. its sort of slow but it can still deal with roblox. I would say those are the minimum requirements since it runs pretty well here. After that its all on the hardware. Here are the important specs. 2.6 dual core processor. 8 gigabytes of RAM. I have a Nvidia GeForce 420 with 4 gigabytes of video RAM. (according to DxDiag) (my purchase history says its only 2 gig.) and I also have a 2 TB hard drive for a massive ammount of games, music, and movies. |

I also forgot to add that I have windows 10 pro 64 bit. It starts up in like 40 seconds, much better than all the others unless you're and old dude who knows about computers with no desktops. |

That's strange. I have a different problem. Instead of ROBLOX using an incredible amount of bandwidth, it uses almost nothing! I have a maximum of 3MegaBits/s (Mbps), but roblox uses only 1-20 KiloBytes/s (kb/s). Actually while I'm writing this, I might as well tell you that Mbps is different from MB/s. Mbps is MegaBITS per second. MB/s is MegaBYTES per second. One MegaByte is equal to 8 MegaBits. So MegaBit would look bigger and MegaByte would look smaller. But they are actually the same value, just displayed differently. Eg. 128 KiloBytes is equal to 1 MegaBit. Anyway continuing, the low bandwidth usage is annoying because my game becomes so slow but it's because it has low bandwidth usage. I'm not saying high bandwidth usage is better, that would steal all the bandwidth from the LAN and your family will blame you, but I'm saying that there should be a bandwidth control system in ROBLOX. I hope this gets implemented, even though this thread is extremely old. Please ROBLOX, please.

I have 1 Mbs too and that is not a lot, the average is about 10-12 but most people have 30-60. so 1 Mbs is nothing. Yes roblox does have a crazy bandwith need but there are thousands of bits in the game thats why you need a faster bandwith |

its about the servers that roblox run games on
they need to increase the capacity of their servers
and improve the ping rates
im using 18mbps and sometimes its gets really bad ping rates |
