Lets say you swear 10 times. You don't get banned. A screen pops up saying you have IGS. (In Game Suspension) The screen would wait 5 seconds. Dissapear. Exit out of his profile. Then show a list of essays he can choose from; Like 'I will not swear anymore.', or 'I will not call people noob.' This would be beneficial to the good kids when bad kids are ruining there supposedly fun game..

And support. But one question: who exactly causes this to happen? ROBLOX, ROBLOX software, the creator, the players (vote style thing)?

I support, but I also agree with ultralegomaster above me... Who will make the IGS happen? How is the computer supposed to detect you swearing/bad behaviour etc?

Meh. Who has the time to read it, and if they do a bad job, who regects it? What if they are a 6-year-old who said they were 13 and now has the daunting task of an esssay? Not gonna work. No support. I see your reasoning though =D

ROBLOX is not school. Making someone write lines since he sweared ingame is a hugely inconvenient way of dealing a punishment. The time lost from writing those lines will be a lot less compared to simply getting banned from the website (especially since they can just copy and paste those essays from a document each time they're suspended). The system for punishing people for bad behavior is perfectly fine right now. People exaggerate when they say the report system is so lax, people can get away with anything. I have never seen someone actually write a swear word, properly spelled, strong enough to cause discomfort, no extra letters or anything added, or censor it.

And if you lie and say you're 13 when you're really 6.. Well its your own fault. You brought it on yourself.

No. People can break the rules by writing essays posting links to offsite areas. Also note that we are a building game, not a school. therefore consequently banning them for breaking the rules is much better.

"@Rec, I see what your saying but I don't agree with the last paragraph."" -- In my opinion, any idea has been officially defeated if the author or his supporters cannot come up with any proper way to combat an argument. Telling me you disagree with me does not help to your cause, and until you respond to it with an argument, this idea has been killed.

No. Would spend a lot of mod time reading through the essays that could be better spent banning the right people instead of all the ones who don't break the rules.

Maybe write why you shouldn't be banned. BTW Thousands of people work for ROBLOX. They have time to read 1 paragraph why someone shouldn't be banned.

@Recruit, I've seen plenty people swear and not be banned..

#55551892Thursday, September 29, 2011 8:54 PM GMT

@Nik, the moderation is already terrible as it is. Let's not make it twice as bad. Sure, one paragraph might not seem like that much, but when you multiply it by about 100x, it gets a lot. Would also be annoying to have submitted your "essay" and STILL have to wait for it to be permitted.

No support. Why do I have to type an essay just to unban my account. My family friends and I myself would think I'm an idiot for wasting time just for an online game.Besides who's gonna read all those essays because people get banned a lot now.
