You just have to look at WWII and you can see some glory stealing there. Russia and the UK don't get any credit, and these two countries were pivotal. |

Not true. I was at a wedding a few years ago where a British guy was marrying this American girl. The British guy's best man got up and spoke and he made a joke about WWII, saying Britain won it all by herself. It was a joke. We all got it. Everybody knows that Britain helped, America helped, Russia helped. |

History seems of telling it as if the US hadn't stepped in, the UK would have been wiped out. For example, one of the beach landings they had to have three countries landing in one spot and the US in another just to balance it out. Now, I'm not saying they didn't play a part, I'm not even saying that we did more. I'm only saying some major battles portray the US (And often Russia too) as the "hero" who saves the day. |

The US handled Japan pretty much all by themselves. British support was limited and British forces were kicked out of Singapore and Burma.
Russia only invaded and liberated Manchuria in the final days of WWII. |

Without the US WWII probably would have gone on a few years longer. But there's not doubt that England and Russia still would have won. |

We can't say that. Who knows, maybe some soldier the Americans killed would have ended up shooting a general for the allies and through a series of events led to the Germans crushing Britain and then taking over the rest of Eurasia. We can't say for sure. The Americans did contribute with the atomic bomb, however. That has got to be considered. No matter what position you stand, that was a huge achievement and a huge play in the war. |

Ehh, China fought to some extent, but were mostly defeated by Japanese forces.
They did not contribute enough to be considered an important ally. |
