I continued to read my book and then I heard a slight rustle of leaves. I stand up quietly as if not to disturb anybody. I shuffle around the tree and there I found was a boy. He looked about my age and by looking at the items beside him I could tell he was a plumber in training.
"Hello, what's your name?" I asked in a quiet voice because I'm quite shy around new people. "I'm Kiri, nice to meet you." I said a little bit louder as I sit beside him. |

"Oh is that so?" I asked as I began to stand up again. "I can show you the way you need to go, if you are a new student this year." I grabbed THomas's wrist and said,"Come on let's go! We don't want to be late now do we?" And I started dragging him towards the main office in the high school division. |

"Late? Late for- WHAAA!" I nearly screamed in pain from Kiri's grip. "Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. OW! Ow. Ow. Where the heck are we going anyways?" I asked.

I ran onto the school grounds, a brown satchel with me, with Slim at my side. "First day at a new school. You'd better make me some friends with pet poodle gals..." Slim rumbled as we ran. "Keep dreaming pup," I chuckled. I slowed to a walk and held up my schedule. "This must be it, see you later Slim. Remember to come after school," I said. Slim nodded and ran off. I went inside. |

I came to a halt in the middle of the field noticing that I'm hurting Thomas. I loosened my grip. "Oops" I said quietly,"Sorry. We're going to the main office to see where you need to go. Oh and what grade are you in? You DO go to this school right?" I said while wondering what he would be doing here if he wasn't a student. |

So, what do I do when I get bored?
Incidentially, I watch TV. Not that I actually watch it, mind you. I actually just see it. Since my helmet is wrap-around, and since I AM The Doctor, with all my mad scientist stuff, I managed to wire a few electrodes into my brilliant brain. Instead of 'seeing', per se, I'm able to just 'tell' if somethings there.
The drawback is if something's flying, or jumping. In that case, I would be completely clueless besides for my hearing. The other drawback is that it has an effective range of 70 yards in a clear feild. Much less than actual eyesight, and I have even less range in urban or steep enviorments with many objects.
But it's still very helpful to be able to tell if I'm about to get mugged by a bored teenager, or if there's a pothole under my car. It still stinks when I manage to get out of town once in a while, and see barely anything.
Then again, that doesn't stop me from glancing out the window towards the school complex and wondering what in the world they teach there.

I ran into the school, and feared being late. I stopped at the door, to only see it was locked. "No, no, no, no....." I groaned, and got out the key to the town. That I father got from being the Park ranger. The old school smell entered my nose, I could hear the slipping of the tile against my shoes as I dashed through the hallway.

"Oh not too far" I told him reassuringly. "Let's hurry up classes are about to begin" I started to run off into the distance but stopped,"Oh I'm also in the 10th grade, maybe we'll have some classes together!" I turned back and ran towards the building. |
