Jiradow hugged her notebook close to her chest and tightened her scarf.
It was devastating to leave home, but there was an odd spark of hope deep down and her eyes shone.
Although she was leaving everything behind, she could start fresh here.
She'd record her life story and keep it to read, for years to come.
She could even get a job somewhere.
Jiradow looked into the waves, and had a genuine smile. |
