Use studio mode when building. ------ BUIDLING 1) Subject. The Subject of the game is important. People want something new that they've never played before, and something they like to do. 2) Neatness. Neatness is the key to the visual effect of the game. If the bricks are not neatly placed, people will keep pointing it out in their minds. 3) Variety. The variety of the game will make people play for longer. If there is lots of different things in your game then people will wanna try it all. 4) Don't bore people. If people are just waiting in a lobby for 10 minutes, they're gonna get darn bored. Then need something to do at ALL times 5) Warm welcoming. Be a good creator! Dont go "No Newbies Allowed". People who say this are just darn stupid. It will just stop people from visiting!! And don't use admin commands to ban/kick people, They will NEVER play again. 6) Features. On ROBLOX Wiki, you can learn to make talking characters in your game, weapons, cars, ramps, and much much more! These will All help your game. 7) This forum. Building helpers will help you whenever you are stuck. But don't just ask us to make you a game. That's up to you to do. :D 8) Thumbnails. Just save it in a good position, and then the thumbnail will be good. An effective angle on an interesting thing works. Pictures usually work, but don't do a random picture. 9) VIP. Now, VIP is easy, if your are BC of Course. You just have to create certain benefits, which is worth their money. They want it to be worth their money, so they place several times and give you visits 10) Updates. Updating your game is important, so when fans of yours see a new update, they will play it every time. 11) If you want a good game, with a lot of features, take up scripting. You can learn on the tutorial section of the Wiki. You can do things possible with scripting, that you wouldn't be able to do with regular building. Remember: If you are stuck, and don't know what to do, Post here! People will help you. 12) Use good grammar in your title and description. 13) Don't use too many Free models. If you do people will notice this and think that you didnt make any of it! Its ok to use like 5 but to many! 14) Have fun. Enjoy Building it, and you will work on it more. Enjoy playing it, and chances are other people are gonna like to play it. -------- AFTER ITS BUILT 1) Advertise. Make a good advertisement that people are almost forced to click. It is sometimes a good idea to trick them. Ive seen a couple of these. "This button has been cheated on, so dont try to click it","New: Roblox Scrolling ads!!","Click this for 9999 robux". These are quite nooby, but sometimes do work. 2) Play it. When advertising, get 2 or 3 friends to play with you, and then people will just start to play, as if by magic. 3) Wait. Be patient. All that is needed to be said. -------- Some random things that you could include in your place: 1) Humanoid Brick -Click workspace. Insert>Object>Model -Drag a part into the model -Name the part "Head" -Click the model, insert>object>humaniodd -Name the model whatever you want 2) Fire Brick -click a brick -insert>object>fire 3) Smoke Brick -click a brick -insert>object>smoke 4) Sparkle Brick -click a brick -insert>object>Sparkles 5) Talking Brick -Click a brick -Insert>Object>Dialog -Change initialprompt to what it says straight away -Click the dialog in workspace -Insert>Object>DialogChoice -UserDialog is what you can have a choice to say -ResponseDialog is what the reply is. 6) Explosions -Click workspace -Insert>Object>Explosion -You change the position to where you want a explosion to occur -It will blow up any unanchored bricks 7) Teams -Insert>Service>Teams -View>Toolbox -Click red, blue, green, or yellow spawnlocation. You can have more than one. -Change the names of the teams in the teams folder -You can put the spawns anywhere 7B) Team Properties Go into the team and you will find.... -AutoAssignable = Can you spawn here at the start? -AutoColorCharacter = Will it color your torso the colour of the team? Go into the spawn and you will find.... -AutoTeamChangeOnTouch = Can you change teams by touching this? -Duration = How long you are in a forcefield -Neutral = Is it random where you spawn? (or does it split the teams evenly) 8) Team flags Also in toolbox, you find flags, you can put these anywhere. They will need to be captured by the opposing team(s) 9) The leaderboard. Also in the ToolBox, you find "LeaderBoard". The picture has Lua on it. It will automatically give you a leaderboard KOs, WOs, And captures (if you have flags). 10) Weapons In toolbox, if you change it from Game Stuff to weapons, you can click the weapons to make them appear in your game. When a question comes up, click yes if it will be in your tools when you start, or no if it will be on the map for you to pick up. 11) Guis. Go to the wiki to learn how to make Guis. They are basically pictures on the screen.

seems pretty valid, but there's just something i want to point out: >2) Neatness. Neatness is the key to the visual effect of the game. If the bricks are not neatly placed, people will keep pointing it out in their minds. in some games, messiness can be great too; it shows that the game is made in a more unorganized and chaotic world as opposed to an organized and almost uniform world

@Oozle, Even, say a pile of rubble, that needs to be messy, you still have to make an effort to make it look good
