@Glub, Do you want me to come up with more gods and goddesses or not? |
|
|
Uh, Copper I was actually thinking people could make up their own ideas. ._. |

Alright. So we have the conflict. Is that the whole plot, or do we need a seperate plot? |

Heeeck yeah. Will its priests be able to tear one of their eyes and embed it into an amulet, a-la Reheinxat, showing their devotion to it, and gain some sort of power (relatively weak, like the five foot radius area around the priest being colder)? Because that would be sweet.
A robed guy with one eye strolls into town, with an eye-amulet, and has a chilling presence? Don't trouble him, he is a priest of Reheinxat.
On the flip side, the reaction could be more like...
A robed guy with one eye strolls into town, with an eye-amulet, and has a chilling presence? Kill him, he is a priest of Reheinxat!
The second one would be more likely around the areas the other gods have more weight in. |
|
|
Well, the main plot is that Gods make creatures to worship them, and they help them evolve by crafting buildings, and helping them survive. Then the dragon comes, and jacks everything up to where the race tries to kill you. |
|
|
So the priests are dangerous?
I like. :D
So, are we clear, I think this is ready, we have 2 conflicts,
You can be evil. ( Undergods. ), and you can be good, ( Gods. )
Just give me a bit, and I'll make it. |

@Copper,
Okay. But may I remind you, this is a Civillization RP. |

Remember, not all gods would be good or evil. Some might average out at neutral, some may just not care, and some may have no concept of either extreme. |
|
|
Yeah, I forgot about that.
NEUTRAL GODS TOO. |

The gods created the perfect creature. They would worship them without any questioning. The gods were quite content, and lived in luxury for hundreds of years, which i like a minute for a god. But soon, the evil dragon Reheinxat came and changed the creature's perspective. Priests were soon working for Reheinxat instead of the gods. The gods were angry. Furious, actually.
Reheinxat was the ultimate enemy, it captured mortals to keep it safe from the gods. If the gods attacked him, we would kill a huge chunk of their followers, or maybe the whole world, the gods would have to find out. It has six eyes, one of them ripped out and placed in an amulet that hangs from its neck. It can feed off of the life of its followers, sometimes dipping its hand into the followers of other gods, in order to stay alive during a time in which it is in danger of dying. If it dies, all of its followers will instantly drop dead in an attempt to bring it back to life - sort of like divine CPR, except a lot more death involved.

Sounds good. But two little nitpicks - you sometimes refer to Reheinxat as he, when it is it, and it is still a god, it just looks like/takes the form of a dragon.
Maybe the gods learn firsthand what happens to the world when they try to put Reheinxat down? And there needs to be some sort of major reason why they can't just kill Reheinxat and then remake everything without its influence.
If the power of a god increases as the amount of followers increases, they would surely be trying to do whatever they can to defeat Reheinxat, sort of like a Black and White thing, but with Reheinxat being its own Creature, in a way.
I have an end goal for Reheinxat, but I don't want to spoil it. |

Well, they can't kill the dragon because it's immortal. :P |

There needs to be a mechanism to destroy a god. Maybe when they run out of followers, they become slightly vulnerable, and as any sign of their presence (scrolls, books, statues) is destroyed, they become more vulnerable? |

All right. Or he has learned a certain weakness of a god??? maybe? no? OK. xD |
|
WalynTop 100 PosterJoin Date: 2007-05-30 Post Count: 14570 |
Reheinxat's weakness is that he is in a physical form, which is required for him to take his hands-on approach to controlling what he wants. Of course, he has to be careful - if he rules it all, then there is no stopping the gods from hitting the "Apocalypse Now" button (only referrencing the movie title, not the movie plot) and destroying him.
Also, Reheinxat is now a him. And the writers rejoiced of not having to type it and replace all accidental "he"s with "it"s. |

No I mean Reheinxat learned the weaknesses of the gods, and he is willing to exploit them if they attack him, but he can't use the weaknesses if they aren't in battle, so they are in a mutual situation. |
