how did linkin park get famous they have like 6 good songs

I'm a Metalliholic. I live and breathe Metallica and almost every band that inspired them and almost every band that they inspired. Linkin Park is okay though.

Can I point out that having 'good' songs is just an opinion. LP is a good band, and I like them, along with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Flyleaf and the like. Just because you think they have 6 good songs does not mean someone will think the same. Besides, branding someone a 'LP Freak' can be taken as offensive; Why call someone a 'LP Freak' based on the music they like? From the looks of it you all like Metal (With the exception of Nirvana, whos drummer is now in Foo Fighters - who win, might I add), so why don't I call you all Metal-Freaks? Because I don't like to stereotype people. Not saying you do, but from the looks of it you do. Don't flame me saying that I'm wrong, because what I'm saying is my own point of view.

Woo. Ozzy and motley cure are just the beginnings of metal. Listen to kataklysm, slayer, cannibal corpse, or even slipknot (whom I just saw live a few weeks ago). Those guys are insane.
