Bluesteel Bathelm: Why such low resale value?

Once an item everyone wanted, it's sale value has become around 3,000. This is something I dont understand, considering items such as The Santa hat, which one of 10,000 sells for 3500, while there is only 2,800 or so Bathelms. It's aesthetically appealing, in my opinion, and it's rare. So why such low value?
