Crashing ROBLOX studio happens to be extremely easy. Several of these things can set it off, along with random actions....
- Copy
- Paste Into
- Inserting a model (Even with 1 piece)
- Dragging a model into another model
- Dragging a Window
- Clicking on the command bar
- Clicking
- Moving a toolbar
- Pasting
I usually can get 1 - 25 minutes out of studio before it crashes. This is OK when testing scripts, because I save after editing a script, but when building, I don't save as often, and it would be nice to not have studio crash. I do have around 15 plugins (including the 10 terrain) running. Would removing those help?
Also, when ROBLOX updates (Now without the little bar), my computer will freeze up for a few minutes, potentially losing whatever work I was doing (Like my research paper due in 3 days...). When ROBLOX updates, please be sure to atleast put some sort of warning, or do it with the studio launch, not with whenever it feels like it. (Else my computer just randomly freezes with ROBLOX open).
My computer hardly ever freezes except when using ROBLOX or a resource intensive program (Such as Inventor, and only when massive files are involved and I try to do something when it's trying to configure something else).
ROBLOX Plugin for Chrome will also crash, especially when running for a few hours, and randomly, like when I'm using ROBLOX Studio.
Also, ROBLOX logs are still being written into my computers logs, and opening the file actually manages to crash the viewer thingy. The thing that never crashes.
ROBLOX itself in online mode is fine.
Also, is it normal to have 60 to 70 processes running at 1 time? That might be my problem.
Here is my computer data:
- Windows -
