Peyton Manning will not play in the final two games of the 2011 season, Indianapolis Colts vice chairman Bill Polian announced after Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Manning put on pads last week for the first time this season while he recovers from his September neck surgery, and Polian said the team determined the quarterback wasn't ready to come back after observing his throwing session. FOX Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported Sunday that Manning suited up and worked out with running backs and wide receivers following a Colts practice this week. Manning previously had thrown to receivers at the team's practice facility, but this was the first time he did it while wearing pads. Manning later confirmed the report to a CBS producer, according to The Indianapolis Star. Rumors percolated this week that Manning was seen throwing to tight end Dallas Clark and wide receiver Austin Collie following a recent Colts practice. But Collie told The Star "that didn't happen." Clark (neck) didn't practice all week, according to the team's injury report, and sat out Sunday's game. ~Deathrange07, the Death from a Range~
