The current function does nothing at all to change the search scope... come on, let us search for posts created by a certain person. |

You can do that, go to search and instead of on post you click arrow and change it to post by. Then you type in the persons name. Is that what you mean?

What a lot of us are doing to make our posts be searchable is, in my view, a little spam; we're adding signatures. This would be a much better idea than adding signatures. |

Judging by the rate at which updates here, improving the search function is at the botton of their list of things-to-work-on-every-few-years. |
