"Gears in game" problems

I have a problem with using tools. The first time it works, but after I die, it doesn't work. When I select it, it is just a bigger Gui with no red circle around it.

Its most likely the gear bugging out try puting it in your backpack and takeing it out I be trollin' they be hatin.
