I am aware of what you are talking about. To answer your question, the graphics engine optimizes the scene on the fly as you play. After 20 seconds, the place is fully optimized, so you get a better framerate.
If you go to the graphics settings dialog, and change BatchSize to 1, you will disable this optimization feature. You can see for youself the effect it has. You will probably notice that after 20 seconds, the net result is that graphics clearly _slower_ with this optimization feature off than it does when it is on.

what roblox really needs is an "older updates" menu, and allow older versions of roblox play, and have a list of them for old computers. practically every program i hav has a "get older version" menu, so if it runs slow, u can get a version thats easier on ur GDDR2 (or GDDR3) which means graphics ram, and also letting down on the actual ram and CPU. I have had to boost ma last PCs power bcause the ram wus going too slow. next update: OLDER VERSIONS MENU
