Roblox couldn't do this. too much user-generated data, and the graphics would SUCK. You can't run this 3D rendering without some kind of stand-alone file. |

Robocorp, Pugzy is right. The entire point of WebGL is to extend JavaScript to do this WITHOUT that standalone file. What you are thinking about is OpenGL, the current system we have. OpenGL requires the standalone files. WebGL just requires Java and a supported browser, EVERYONE has this.

don't call me an idiot, my IQ is quite above average, also internet explorer is the only browser that can run the roblox site without bugspam (which i think is intentional due to the fact that from the admins perspective: bugs = good!) but other than that extremley rude comment, i support. (also learn how "idiot classification" works, it's a number, and "class" 1 would die at birth due to not learning to breath in time. and it's called IQ, bellow 100 is idiot, and 140 and up is genius, albert einstien was probably 180 or somthing like that for example and i must end this sentence good bye!) so half quoteing katniss from hungergames, thank you for your rudeness! |

@pugzy, Do you honestly think it's that easy to create a 3D object with a mesh and textures in javascript? Just, no... Flash can easiley be imported to the webpage and is 75% easier and better at 3D compared to javascript. |

Javeman, do you think there's really all that much difference between ActionScript and Javascript? There isn't all that much. Why? Because they are both EMCAScripts. Javascript is already on the website, and there is no compilation to make a bigger file (EX .swf)... Not only that, a Mesh IS a 3D object.

There shoud be an option to turn this on or off in the Account menu. Off for faster loading (static) and on for 3D. |
