When calling AutowedgeCells(region) - or when using explosions, terrain should be smoothed on lower surfaces as well. As it stands, being underneath or inside large pieces of terrain (for example, if someone wants to make a cave, or tunnels with the terrain feature) it doesn't look nearly as nice as it does from above. http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/AutowedgeCells_(Method) http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/AutowedgeCell_(Method) http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/RBX.lua.Terrain_(Object) I literally would be willing to write the code for this. It shouldn't be hard to implement, and would be a huge bound in the versatility of terrain. This feature should absolutely be implemented if rumors that a tunnel-making terrain tool is going to be created for the standard toolbar.

"inverted terrain wedging" sounds way cooler and technical

I agree! Why is that the only part of the terrain that is never smoothed? The ceiling of caves look too boxy because it never smooths. Support!
