I cafe' was quite, the music played slowly echoing through the emptiness. It was Saturday so the there wasn't any high school students to accompany the cafe'. Cody and Priscilla sat across from each other watching the fan slowly spin on the ceiling, until the waitress broke the silence. "So what would you like like?" she asked "I'll just have a coffee" Cody said, "I'll have a salad" Priscilla said shortly after, the waitress wrote down the orders and made her way towards the kitchen. "Cody, do you like me?" Priscilla asked right away, before he was able to answer she quickly cut him off "I'm sorry I didn't mean-", "Its okay, I think your... pretty" Cody said "Thanks Cody" she said as she scratched her arm gently. The waitress came back with there orders, Cody's coffee was hot so he waited for it to cool off, while Priscilla played with her salad with her fork taking small bites. Then to brake the silence, "Just a salad?" Cody asked "Yeah, I'm vegetation, I don't eat meat" Priscilla replied. Cody then felt as if he was being watch, that strange tingling feeling. He turned his head to the window, but no one was their, "Something wrong?" she asked, "no" Cody said, but he still continued to have that feeling, he just ignored it, Thirty minutes have past, and the date finally come to an end. "Want me to walk you home?" Cody asked as they walk out of the door, "Actually, that would be great", she said an let of a little smile. They didn't live to far from each other only two or three blocks. During the walk Cody felt like he was being followed, just as he had felt in the cafe', he decided to keep ignoring it, for all he knew it could be nothing. Before Priscilla opened the door to her house she lightly kissed him on the cheek. Once she left he stood there an placed his two fingers to were her lips had met his skin. For once he didn't feel alone. |
