I see under lots of places "Recommendations for You"
All of these places are really popular, with help from the fact that they're appearing on recommendations.
But what about the players that work hard, and have great games, that go unnoticed?
I'm not trying to brag, by the way. I actually DON'T have great places. This is for the players with great, well-scripted and well-built places that have about 200 visits! My places are worse, and they have 2000! Lots are much better than the ones on the front page!
So why do they go unnoticed? For example, a good friend of mine Dino77 has a place called Paradise Islands that is nearing its 3000th visit, but has been up since 2008 or 2009. He was once offered 250k by someone for that place. Instead, he denied the offer, and built an even better version of that place anyways! And yet, it has gotten so few visits compared to the amount of time and effort he put in.
I suggest that ROBLOX takes action on making sure these places get the visits they deserve. Under the recommendations, ROBLOX could also have something similar to the section in the Contests. It would say "New and Cool!" and show fairly recent places, handpicked by some of the admins and interns themselves, that deserve visits, but don't really have any.
Every month they could pick a handful of great, new games with few visits. Eventually they would no longer appear on the "New and Cool!" section. Maybe after a few months, thanks to the boost they had gotten, they would even be under the Recommended section.
I see tons of games owned by what many might call 'nobody's'. They deserve a chance in the spotlight.
So, not only would this help good, new players, it might help our front page in the Games have actual better choices than 'Survive the Broccoili Attack' or 'Fall down 9 million!!!!1111!!1' or even 'Dance Tycoon - "Dance" to earn money!'. Although that last one actually sounded pretty cool, lol, it probably wouldn't be fun to visit. We need more of these great places. |
