I wish we could trade up to get Trent Richardson, but i know thats not going to happen |
|
|
i think we might get the DE from marshall or the running back from washington |

yea, we need better D lineman, the pass rush wasnt getting there last year |
|
|
lol we don't need a RB, that would be the stupidest draft move ever.

you realize that the giants beat the packers because they knew the packers wouldn't run the ball
since that's been proven, teams know how to beat the packers now
a running back is a necessity for every team |

Stupididst Draft Move ever? All we have is James Starks and he isnt even that good. WE have brandon Saine and havent seen him play much and i think we have Alex Green. So proves my point. Terrible running backs |

I was rooting for the PAts but we lost. With all our new players we might go for the title again. That was a cheap catch. |

"So proves my point. Terrible running backs"
Lol we have great running backs, we just don't use them BECAUSE WE DON'T NEED THEM. Ryan Grant, James Starks, Alex Green and Brandon Saine are all good. I don't know what you are smoking. We have 4 quality backs PLUS john kuhn, we don't need another. kthx |
|
|
>any of those backs
>good
you realize the packers don't use them because they aren't producers. if they had another weapon to use, it would be used. |
|
|
packers dont use them because they don't need um.
Starks had 4.3 yards a carry. That's good. A Running back isn't a first round need. Maybe they'll draft one with one of their 7th rounders, but in the first round? When we need to bulk the OL and DL? And we need a OLB? hell no. |
|
|
you fail to understand the basic ideas of football
if the packers pass every down, what do you think the defence is prepared for?
that's how they lost in the playoffs
the giants knew they weren't running, and played the pass. they did the same thing against green bay in the regular season, and kept the game close
starks also only had one touchdown, and 532 yards. he's not an explosive runner at all.
and this season proved that you can win without defence, why not get another offensive weapon if it's proven that a mediocre, injured defensive squad can keep you in games. and the packers have been beefing up on defence during the offseason. |
|
|
Starks had one touchdown and 532 yards because he had 130 carries >.>
Any redzone running was done by Kuhn.
BTW, every team we played against should have seen the pass coming. how many games did we win? We don't need a freakin' running back. Starks is great, when we run the ball. The only stats your are giving are variables on when the packers run the ball, IF they run the ball. |

Packers shouldn't trade up for Richardson or drafting Polk.... If the Packers draft a back at all, it will be in the 4th to last round where the selection will be made. |

The Packers lost to the Giants in the playoffs because of their lack of pass-rush.
Matthews is a fantastic pass rusher, but they need more players that can get to the quarterback.
Nick Perry from USC can be that guy. |

you realize that this isn't madden. coaches don't make a random guess as to if it's a pass or a run play.
coaches are going to watch game film from the playoff game. they'll know how to beat the packers. a running game is neccesscary. starks is painfully mediocre when rushing, and isn't enough to give the packers the advantage. could it be a coincidence that aaron rodgers was the leading rusher in the loss vs. the giants? passing is one dimensional. when recievers start dropping the ball, and get better coverage on them, the passing game is gone. running the ball builds the passing game. everyone fumbled in the playoff game because they didn't run the ball at all in the last four or five weeks. aaron rodgers has a fatal flaw. if he passes too much in one game, he starts dwindling. the packers need a running back to sustain him. |

The Packers do need a feature back though. But they shouldn't draft one so high. RB is a position that has quite a lot of depth every season. |
|
|
the packers had a decent pass rush vs. the giants, and defence doesn't matter apparently, considering the packers were 15-1 |

1 sack on Manning in that game, while Giants 4 sacks on Rodgers.
1 sack a game for a whole team isn't a decent pass-rush. |

"the packers had a decent pass rush vs. the giants, and defence doesn't matter apparently, considering the packers were 15-1"
neither does running, then. u cant have it both ways brooooo |
|
|
a run game would mean 18-1, rather than 15-2 |

that's funny, but incorrect |
