Only one problem: Group Inventory = Inevitable source of extraordinary wealth, will create classes for robloxians, therefore segregating poor from the rich robloxians.

@Speedy: The group vault wouldn't cause much of a change in how they are already segregated by that, if it did at all. Care to elaborate more, on how it would do that though? So I can revise my thinking a slight bit, or try to further explain what I mean with it. I don't see it as being a form of extraordinary wealth, because of one simple thing, a player can only put as much money in a group as they currently own, however, most of the members that make up groups, but do not lead them, are not rich. Again, however, it would not create classes. As the classes already exists.

There is no such thing as a class yet. You are as rich as the amount of effort you put into your career. Having a group inventory let alone a group bank would demand members to pay it so that the creator of the group can get loads of wealth and the members get no benefit nor any incentive. I could only see this being an effective mean of getting donated to, none more.

yeah, I like the group branches idea, that would be perfect for my group!

Speedy; I think you may have misunderstood me. For the "Group Vault" ANY of the members can withdraw a sum of Tix or R$. But they can only draw out 1% or less of the total amount stored within the groups funding. And in cases where the funds are in a state of 1% being greater than, or equal to 100R$/1Tix, then they can only withdraw either 100R$ or 1,000Tix. And in the case that something such as... 1,000Tix being the current tix, they could only withdraw 10Tix. And for the "Alliance Vault" the funds go to the group, not the leader who withdrew them. The 1 week waiting period for withdraw from the alliance vault, will remain with the leader who withdrew the funds, even through just the group vault. So if a leader pulls out a small sum of R$ or Tix from the Alliance Vault, they have to wait 1week, before that can access either the Alliance OR the group vault. As far as it goes though; the social classes of Rich and Poor already exist in games and ROBLOX. Honestly, despite being a Tbc member, I rarely have in excess of 500R$ or 800Tix. I wind up spending it all on my group every week and a half. Again, none of the wealth stored in the group bank goes to the group leader. It goes into a new currency tab, that is only found in the group page.

I made an error up in line 4. Shoudl be "Greater than or equal to 100R$/1,000Tix*

.... Yet another error. Got my mom arguing with my little brother in my ear and it's causing me to have concentration problems.

But then the groups would just be huge banks. That would not make any sense. But I sorta get it and its kind of a good idea but it seems like something that should be centralized.... and something that should not be a part of groups.

I was kinda using the Central Vault to tie together the other ideas, and tied them all together along with the vault, giving ROBLOX a bit of a more economical feel, the groups would not just be huge banks, because the money DOES get spent, for instance, early in the post, I said something about buying non-limited items in bulk for the entire group, and using the equation "P=MI" Or; Total Price = Members without the items *times* items initial price.

But ok... this is my initial question: What will depositing money in a group give as an incentive to a member?
jacob726
#65530236Wednesday, April 04, 2012 1:22 AM GMT

... ... ... Well, honestly, all I can think of that may be an incentive would be things like the Bulk buying, and the ability to actually make a slight profit off of it through the every 4 days withdraw of >=1%. Other than that, I wasn't trying to come up with incentives, I was trying to find a way to grow the group economically, which eventually leads to population, and possibly militant growth for a group.

Just a question.. When withdrawing from the vault to purchase items in bulk for the group members, are any transactions in this manner still restricted by the 1 or 2% withdrawal limit?
jacob726
#65537873Wednesday, April 04, 2012 2:38 AM GMT

Those would not be, however, now that I think about it, it would be a good idea for it to also have to go through a group poll upon purchasing the item(s). Thanks for asking that question, it made me stop and think for a second on a way to improve this.

Also; the funds would not be withdrawn by a player, but rather, an option under buy items called "Buy for group" and a list of groups you are currently in in-which to choose from, and a new function for the groups, which would say "Allow bulk purchases" and have a little check box beside it.
