I have the same thing and I researched it. It seems that there are a lot of error codes. And Id=17 probably means that you have modem or a phone that is slow to carry out data and possibly that means that if it can't carry much data, then roblox can't either. Or you can uninstall roblox and install it again which will take some time but it's worth it. I recommend log out, then log in, then refresh the page and join a game. If it doesn't work then uninstall it and reinstall it

I know you posted this question last year but, ID=17 is a security error. It means You must have a firewall or client blocking Roblox. I may be wrong but that's the Solution I found in case you have future errors. - FM

When I try to go onto a game with no players it will say, Requesting Server and then the Error ID=17 pops up. ;_;

Try to refresh your internet, I pressed shift F5 when nothing was moving, and it said that I had 0.1 connection speed instead of my average 20.0 speed. You can wait for a while and try again, but it means as if the server is down for you...

if im correct, i believe that the error id 17 is where your connection isnt suited to fit the host and you cannot play the game and until they can sort out your connection you cant play on that server

Its an internet connection error. I get this every once and a while, the error refers to your computer, or your network not being able to connect to the internet. This could be caused by anti-virus or firewalls, temporarily blocking ROBLOX access to the internet. This could be the real deal, your internet has disconnected and you need to fix it. Microsoft Computers with over-complex internet systems, usually of older designs can often have this problem. in some cases, certain applications can connect to the internet (Internet Explorer, chrome, any application) cant connect to internet services, but others (X-Fire, skype, any application) can connect to the internet. If this is similar to what you have, talk to your parents or, if you can, contact your ISP or a computer engineer / somebody who knows how to work a computer professionally (IE tech support, etc) There are other issues that can cause this problem, but this could also be on ROBLOX's end, which, seems to usually be the cause for me.
