This idea is basically a simple idea with a large outcome.
The idea here, is Roblox Profile Applications (for time sakes, RPAs)
These are basically Apps that you can add to your home page. This update would add several new features, such as:
-Home page customization
-Player created applications
-Application creator program
-New ways of earning money
To start, first you need to create the apps. This will require a new Roblox program to be created. This program will provide you with the tools you need for creating the app. Basic HTML tools (I honestly don't know anything about HTML, but the admins must) will be included in the program.
Once the app is made, you can publish it to Roblox. A new section of the catalog will be made to house the new items. Apps can be uploaded to the catalog, then be priced. There WILL be price limits for obvious reasons. Such as a max limit of 10,000 Rbx. (My opinion)
Once uploaded, any user can test the app ONCE for two days. (This time period could be reset every six months or so, if you forget how it works) This allows a trial period before purchase, so you don't waste money on ripoffs. Once your trial time is done, you will be asked of you want to purchase the app. If you accept, the money will be taken from your account, and you will have the app permanently. If you decline, the app disappears from your profile. If you go back to try to trial the app before the six months is up, you will not have the option of trialing it.
On your home page, your apps and other items will be listed. You will have option to move items around, similar to Google's home page.
ANYONE can make apps.
You may be thinking "Why should NBC be able to?" My line of thinking is not everyone can successfully make something like this. The app would have to be well built to gain any profit, NBC or BC. But, to make things better balanced for paying BCers, they will have a smaller fee. Such as, NBC gets 10% taken off, whereas BCers only get 5% or less taken off.
Also, this is basically an extension of scripting. Scripting is for NBCers, right?
Here are the benefits:
-Encourages creativity - Obviously this will encourage users to try something new and express creativity.
-Teaches skills - With Internet related businesses becoming more and more common, this could teach extremely valuable skills that could be used later in a real job.
- Way to earn money - With hard work, comes rewards, right?
