Because I did some thinking about the religions and I found way too many flaws to believe in it.
Atheism is the only thing that can be proven.

It took many billions of billions of years before life was created.
The Big Bang was basically a mistake. Same with life.

@Radical, because you have to face the real world, their isn't an after-life, and if there is our minds are capable of getting used to anything. Endless torture? After about 1,000 years, your brain would get used to the idea of pain and remove it completely, because our minds are capable of adapting. That is what is so wonderful! You don't have to fear a thing, fearing anything is just a waste of time, stride for anything, no restrictions, life is yours, not a puppet.

It is human nature to believe in a religion. Why is your God that you know to be true so different from the Aztec god, Greek gods, Roman gods, etc.? Basically, Christians believe in a floating Santa in the clouds. God is much like Santa. He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you've been bad or good, etc. Single celled organisms are responsible for us, which evolved. Humans like to believe in God because that's what they've always believed in, they feel like genuinely good people when they do so, and they feel secure. |

Evolution (In my opinion) is just god revising humans and making corrections that he sees to fit better with the world.

I wouldn't listen to any atheists on this thread for two reasons. There could be only two reasons you would argue on this thread. You either enjoy debate (A selfish reason) or you want me to believe there is no God which would make me have no hope and become depressed.
I'll give you my reason for being here. I want you to accept God's gift so you won't burn forever.

I don't understand why its such a hard concept to grasp that proof and belief do not go hand in hand. Obviously when comparing your belief to their's, that is an example of your reasoning for not believing. But most just can't grasp that their own logic ==/== Universal Logic that is correct on everything.
Reason with them as much as you will, but anyone doing nothing but demanding proof might as well just be demanding to see your birth certificate. The idea is that its a rhetorical thing that should just be socially ignored to prevent pointless blabbing that will get no where other than an individual's lost respect.
Question and ponder the mists of life, but nothing will ever be see as correct by everyone. Because correct is a broad term that is ignorant of the idea of a belief in general. |
