Introduction to Safechatting (Skip this if you know what it is)
Yes Safechatting makes things "safe" for ROBLOXians under 13. But I just think ROBLOX pushed the safechatting limits too far. Like you can't post on the group wall, that seems unfair. You can't say much in game, only the things that they approve you too. You can't update your status. You can't change the name of your shirt or the description of it, this fact ticked me off. You can't comment. YOU CANT EVEN FORUM! The safechatting thing really makes ROBLOX less fun. You can barely talk to safechatters in-game. Here is my solution...
Idea #1: In-Game Freedom
Have a thing where you have a bunch of words (NOT PHRASES) and the safechatters can type them and chat. For example you are typing something and when you say a word thats not approved it turns red and you can't say it. The safechatters would only see chats that are like that. They wouldn't see what all of us use.
Idea #2: Freedom on the Website
You literally can't do anything on the website! If you read the introduction you will see that you can't really do anything. Lets change this. As in idea #1 lets give the safechatters this and put it on the website. All the things that you saw in the introduction lets use the idea from "Idea #1" and just put that on the website. For example you can post on the group wall, but you can only type approved words.
Now so you don't have to waste your time just copy and paste this "tl;dr". But I'm sure some of you would read and comment. Who supports? I spent some time typing this so if you say "tl;dr" it would really be mean.

Idea 1 is the same as toontown. They dont approve stuff so they turn them red |
|
|
@reed Thanks. But I bet that most people wouldn't care because they are not safechat. |

I totally support your idea. Not to bring you down though, the moderators don't really care about this kind of thing. Their busy worrying about curse words that people say. I like this idea, though. :D

No.
It's called "Safe" for a reason.
It does not need to be tampered with.

"@Alex I would re-name it AnnoyingChatters. Its just a little too safe"
So now safechatters are annoying?
Also, I agree with alex. |

There's no such thing as being too safe, especially on the Internet.
We do not need to tamper with the Safe-Chat system, and that's final.

I think it should stay the same. Also when something is moderated, and it isn't too bad, perhaps there should be a "Warning 13+" or "Warning, click to open." Of course this would not apply to copyrighted content or real life pictures. |
|
|
Well maybe they should change safechat to 10+ because honestly 13+ is just a little too old. |
