I head back to the main HQ. Been a while since last time I was here. |

(Do you get the point that the assassins at the main HQ are going to betray you?) |

"Wait who are you going to talk to?" I ask, he looked at me a second then motions me to come. |

(Now I do.)
I stop, just before pulling the chain. My store! I dash back to my Ranger's shop. Ok, nothing's changed severely. Good. I unlock the place, and head in. |

(I thought I made it very clear when Gen was talking to you. Oh well.)
Let's see: No running. No climbing. Barely any jumping. A steady burst of pain causes me to fall, but I catch myself and get up. I remind myself to never, ever, EVER get caught by guards again. |

I await my fate. I frantically look side to side to check for an escape. The executor is five steps away. No, there has to be an escape route. Three steps. I look to a man in the crowd who isn't cheering. One step. The man nods and walks away. What was that about? No. This can't be happening. The ax is already being raised. I look up to try to persuade the man to stop. He ignores me and looks only at my head with cold eyes. The ax is coming down. I feel the cold metal blade touch my neck. |

(Random, I interrupted your execution. Unless you want your character to die. If so, I'm still keeping the part with the fight as it introduces a new ability that Gen has.) |

[@Rec; I wasn't planning on dying. I was planning an escape. Unless you want to put in Gen. I don't care, actually. You can decide.] |

(Gen is put in and distracts everyone from the execution. See my posts on page 23.) |

(And it shall be called Deus Ex Machina. Actually, no, that makes it sound bad.)
I walk toward the gate. I need to get home to Elstenoc. |

(...)
I look at my desk, seeing a note. I look at it.
(Sorry, can't think of much for a letter. Can you write it, Rec?) |
|
RecesityJoin Date: 2010-10-09 Post Count: 15626 |
(Depends. You know that the assassins of this place want you dead because they are rivals to Elstenoc's assassins, but does your character? Also, are their any specific details you want added to the story that I can form in the letter?) |

(DANGIT! Sorry Random, I meant posts on page 22.) |

(Sorry. I speed-travelled to Elstenoc.) |

boomer549Join Date: 2008-07-19 Post Count: 8545 |
(GAH! I meant that my character LIVED in Elstenoc. I type too fast...) |

(You'd think it would take longer to get to a far away city. Anyway, I think I have a plot worked out from a letter, but I need to know: Does your character know that the assassins from the HQ want to betray him?) |
|
boomer549Join Date: 2008-07-19 Post Count: 8545 |
(No...?) |
|
RecesityJoin Date: 2010-10-09 Post Count: 15626 |
(Do YOU know that the assassins from the HQ want to betray you? Seriously. I said it like a million times.) |

(I know, but my character doesn't) |
|
RecesityJoin Date: 2010-10-09 Post Count: 15626 |
(And you are in Elstenoc right now?) |
|
boomer549Join Date: 2008-07-19 Post Count: 8545 |
(Yes. It's where my Ranger's shop is. It's also where I live. Why have a shop in a city if you aren't living in it?) |
|

(Just to clarify: Elstenoc is Gen's hometown, which he is far from right now in the city I'm roleplaying in. Anyway, here's the letter:)
"Braden:
We place upon you one of the most important contracts we've ever had. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you succeed, we will prosper, you will be the leader of assassins, and the rest of your life will be joyous. If you do not, you will be kicked out, simple as that.
You must kill the ruler of Elstenoc.
Remember: We trust you and you alone to handle this contract. You have the skills and experience. You cannot fail us.

I'm looking at this letter, thinking... How? I think about it for a moment... Let's see, stealthy, has own bow, accurate... Wait! Of course! My arrows looks a lot like the guard's arrows! In the meantime, though, I must gather up some more info, like when he's coming out. The night will be probably just about impossible. The King has about a million guards around him at night. Even a Constant Patrol. Then again, he DOES have a window in his study... Hmm. |

(I have no idea how to follow this up if you somehow manage to succeed, so the plot will not work as well if you do. Just saying.)
I have hired a carriage to Elstenoc, and I am resting in it. The carriage will need to take many stops, of course, but soon I'll be back at home. |
