"Leader? I am the leader of this band, nothing else. Startington has worthless assassins I do not even care to know about. I have been paid to track you down. Well, to kill you, actually." The man replies, his voice not cracking in a bit. |

I frown, my eyes clearly getting angry.
"If you clearly do not care about your life enough to tell the truth, then it will end here."
I raise the dagger. |

The others stop him.
"No. He has been telling the truth. We have all met each other as peasants in the Republic." The tall man interferes, trying to stop their leader's death. |

I keep my dagger to the leader's throat.
"Mercenaries? Then I will hire you in return for your life and you will help me destroy order in Startington's order of assassins. I'll kill you all if you refuse or turn against me at any time." |

"What would be in it for us?" The man looks at the knife. |

"...Fair enough." The man replied, pushing away the knife from his neck.
"Alright, then. Someone help me up." He said, as the short man went and gave his hand.
"Thanks." He said again, dusting off his shirt.

"One of them will be meeting here in a few weeks. I will handle that person. You- yes, the big one- will go with the tall guy to Startington and report back with any places that assassins would be along with any other information. I will hunt you down and kill you in your sleep if you do not come back in time- one week to get there, two to scout it, and another to get back. The others will search here with me." |

The tall man and the burly man nods, as they say their goodbyes to the man and the short man, and continue back to the place where they could hitch a ride to Startington.

I jump onto the well behind me and then outward to a ledge.
"Mark this place as somewhere an assassination could take place. I don't care how you do it. Be creative." I jump from rooftop to rooftop searching for other things that could be useful. |

The man nods, and looks to the short man.
"Give me the blade." He tells him, slicing a wooden beam three times. "Marked. Nobody would ever know." He smiles, and then leaves the alley, fitting in quietly with the crowd, along with the short man. |

I use the age old method of slashing something a few times when I want to mark it, creating awareness of more places that assassins would use. It may double as helpful to them, but if I can manage to get some guards of my own posted there, that could easily change. I end up finding the entrance to a sewer and go inside to see if any hideouts could be here. Disgusting. |

The man leaned on his staff, as he whispered to the short man that they needed to find a doctor- fast. The short man nods, and goes into the crowd asking if they knew a doctor. A few minutes later, he returns.
"Follow." He says, guiding the man. |

I leave the sewer. Nothing. I walk around the city, marking potential targets. |

The man and his accomplice went throughout the city, finding for the doctor.
"He might be in that inn, sir. That's what they told him." The short man advised, which the leader agreed.
Sure enough, a thin, lean man stood beside the door of the inn, letting an old woman out.
"Excuse me," The short man asked, "Are you a doc-"
"I am doctor Morgon." He nods. "Why did you come here?"
"Aid, sir." The short man replied.
"Very well. Come in." He motions the man and his ally towards the door, leading them to a room. |

I start walking off to the blacksmith shop. Dia wasn't there so I just went to work in the back. The front was a shop that sold stuff and the back was a shop to work in, because of my unusual style of working the back was concealed but from here I could hear if anyone came in the front shop. |

"Is anybody here?" I yell into the back of the shop. In anger I stole whatever coins were in the room. I walked to the blacksmith's shop for a dagger, or maybe a short sword. |

Someone was nearing, I dropped the dagger I was working in and go to the front shop, carefully closing the door behind me. First I see Dia, back from bartering, then the elf from before. I just wait, this was strictly businessiwouldnt let my emotions get in the way of a sale. |

"Uh, the one with the special ingraving?"
"Yea," He replyed.
"Sorry, needs a little more work."
"Then I'll finish it," he replyed a little mad sounding, but not to bad, and he went to the back shop. |

I raised my eyebrows in interest. "Is that being made for somebody? I am actually looking for a dagger myself. If you make the ingraving the way I asked I'll give you a bonus." I say. |
