Also, when I meant that meeting players should be meaningful, I meant that, cooperation could really make a difference in the game. Could you guys give me some ideas to help out with some cooperative features? ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

Definately healing, like med packs or something simular. But to keep the difficulty high, either not have med packs heal a large amount, or have instead of med packs, adreneline shots that wear off over time (Sort of like in Left for Dead). Maybe have certain chase-breakers that can only be broken or moved with multiple people? I certainly couldn't move a large garbage bin by myself.

@ninja How large...? Like, one of those huge dumpsters or recycling bins you see behind schools sometimes? ~If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, carry on, carry on. ~

No I mean those little hand-held ones... Yes, those large dumsters... I'd need a *least* 3 more of me to even get it to budge... Let alone move it a few feet.

I would need a couple friends to move it. I'm used to pushing heavy stuff around because my aunt moves her stuff around a lot... ~If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, carry on, carry on. ~

I'm thinking of making specific buildings have certain items / monsters. Like, in a hospital, you'll find medkits, adrenaline shots, and mutated humans. Whilst, in a park, you'd find hellhounds, etc. ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

Would we find the Black Shuck in the park too? O_O ~If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, carry on, carry on. ~

What's a 'Black Shuck'? For moving objects, would you guys prefer a realistic version in where, crates would be moved relative to it's mass, throw only relative to it's mass, and can only place within your reach. You can't re-arrange like in a building game, only throw it to a location. OR, would you like it to focus more on building? Like, able to re-arrange according to a 2D grid. I prefer the more realistic one, so as to focus more on the atmosphere. ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

Anything with the words, "advanced First Person effects, advanced animations, advanced cutscenes (trust me cutscenes are heavy), and also environmental effects," gets me hyped up. On topic: PONIES! (warned for siggy lolwut)

Well an idea could be that someone has a map,the other sounds. Or one character is 'blind' but he can still see chat or 'hear' it. Another idea would be that one character holds something up,or helps boost someone else over a wall, then the 2nd player opens the door. I've seen and played a multiplayer obby,so you might want to start your 'research' there. Hope it helps.

Well, not that much cooperation. Basically, you're put into the world. When you meet players, you can't automatically have one of them blind and hear. What I meant was, since this game is 'meant' and hopefully is huge, it is hard to survive alone. It is much, much easier to survive and cooperate with your friend. This is a single player experience, but also supports multiplayer experiences. ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

@Candy How realistic will be the monsters be? Is it going to be detailed?

I hope so. I'll need to implement the zero engine into this. Yet, all it has is just the stupid distance buffer thing. ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

How would you guys feel of having only a refillable oil lamp, a pipe, and a makeshift map in the middle of a crumbling city, filled with monsters that could rip your face without it trying, and many UNSEEN dangers, without you able to see anything, and alone, leaving you vulnerable in the open streets and highways of the city? I'm planning alot about this environmental effects. I'm thinking of scripted destruction of buildings... because dynamic would make it unrealistic and further complicate it. ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

Unseen dangers? You're cruel...
Candymaniac
#68882056Tuesday, May 29, 2012 5:31 PM GMT

I literally imagined this world in my nightmares lol. The unseen dangers would include weather effects, like sudden winds, or a blackout. Yes, I'm thinking of adding random blackouts to destroy all electric light bulbs out there. Making you blind. ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

So... new motto for this game: "Survive everything; from 2 story monsters, infectious diseases, sudden weather changes, and man-made disasters. This is the ultimate survival horror game. Are you ready to die?" ☜▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☜☆☞▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☞ - Candymaniac, a highly reactive substance.

You don't know what the Black Shuck is? You have to keep up with the scary stories. Anyway, the Black Shuck is basically a one-headed Cerberus. It's also known as "The hellhound of the UK." If you're not in the UK, you shouldn't care. ~If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, carry on, carry on. ~

Where's North Anglia? The Black Shuck is a black, ghostly dog with red eyes. It's the "hellhound of Anglia" or something. ~If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, carry on, carry on. ~
