After exiting the market I started to walk back to the castle since it wasn't that far away. Within 10 minutes I had left the town and started my long, boring walk to the castle. Most people didn't really travel from town to town because of the war, so the walk was often lonely. |

Appearance: Jalex has ice blue eyes, and very pale skin. He has long black hair, because he's too caught up too cut it. He hates wearing his glasses, but he knows he has too since he's practically blind without them. He'll usually wear whatever works, since he really doesn't care how he looks.
Personality: Usually pretty joyful, but tends to get caught up in his studying and acts like nothing else matters.
Bio: Jalex isn't a war induced person, he tries to stay out of the way and into his research. He researches mostly animal life and technology, but also tries to stay sharp on several other topics. Jalex will rarely leave his study, which is in his small house he can barely afford.
Items (you can have weapons): He owns a variety of researching equipment, but also owns a short sword and bow and arrows, although he's never been one for fighting.
Skills: Nothing much.

I didn't know someone was following me, because I was thinking. That was the only thing I could really do. There wasn't much to look at. I could only see grass, grass, and more grass. Sometimes I saw a few flowers. Now and then I could see a tree. None of this was interesting though.
I stopped to look at some unusual flowers. I never saw any like these so I assumed they were rare. |

Alaki digs some dry dirt up with his hands and plants the apple core into the ground. He covers it back up with dirt and gets the wooden water bottle from his backpack and gives it a little water. Raising his head, Alaki spots a figure in the distance crouched down which seems to be looking at the flowers. It's odd for someone to be out here, in the middle of nowhere, but Alaki didn't know this area too well and for all he knew, there could either be a town just up the path or not single structure for miles. He laid against Coal and continued to watch the figure. |

Azelie
I looked at the flowers carefully, trying to see if there were any thorns or anything like that. Once when I was little I had picked a flower with tiny poisonous thorns. I, of course, had pricked myself and for weeks I had been extremely sick. My mother was still alive then. She was the only reason I was still alive, she knew the cure for the poison.
I quickly picked one of the flowers, looking at it carefully. It reminded me of a flower my mother had drawn before. She said it was rare and if it was used right it could be substitute for some of the more expensive herbs and such that are needed in certain remedies. This flower didn't look exactly the same though.
"Well that doesn't really matter does it," I thought as I picked a few more, placing them in the basket I had brought with me. |
