I stormed off to my room and tried to sleep. I felt dizzy. Was it from excitement? She did not know. " You know what the french say," She whispered to herself. "Je ne sais quoi."

I wonder how the mission will go. Will they find any signs of life? Hopefully so, that would be so cool! I've dreamed about aliens since I was, like, 6 or something. Sadly I got there to late to volunteer so I would be staying back on the ship. |

I wake up early, around three, and start packing. I put some energy bars, water, and cold weather clothing in my pack among other things. Its almost five by the time im done, but I still have just enough time to slip my Great-Grandpa's Mini Uzi into my backpack. |

Everyone leaves.
"Captain over here" Some one says. Its the pilot of the ship
"Yes?" I say. He points out of the window, and a planet is there.
"There she is." I say
"About a day and we are there" He says.
I place my hand on the pilot's shoulder. "You done good" I say
I head off to bed.

I wake up. I instantly get up.
I quickly get dressed and head into the command room, still tired.
"5 minutes and we will touchdown sir" said the pilot.

Kathryn shook me awake. "Wipe that grin off your face," I say, sleepily.

"I think i felt the ship shaking. But I'm pretty positive we're about to land."

My eyelids start to open up..a little too quickly. I leap out of bed like Spiderman probably would have. I bolted to the bathroom and splash water on my face. I dressed into a pink t-shirt and plain blue jeans. I went back
to the room and packed for the day ahead, I saw that Kathryn was ready.
"Early bird..." I mumbled to myself. |

I hopped up to quickly put on my clothes, I wanted to see the others off! I threw on a plain white T-shirt and baggy blue jeans that I had to quickly put a belt around. I zipped down the hallway, seeing if anyone was awake yet, I was really excited for this. It could mean big for all of us! |

I watch everyone get up. I'm already packed and ready to roll so I get some rest as we land. Looking out the porthole I see the landscape of this new planet rolling by. You'd never guess, but im as nervous as a kid taking his first ride on a rollercoaster...and just as excited.

"Yeah, let's roll." They slipped on their backpacks and made their way outside the room. "Oof. Sorry." She had accidentally bumped into Iva as they went down the hall and continued down. |

"It's quite okay!" I yelled to her and carried on. I saw Sarge and ran up to him, taking a seat next to him, "you excited, Sarge? I would be! Also nervous, are you nervous?" I questioned him and gave him a bright smile. |

I turn from the porthole and look at Iva. "Kid, I was in the first waves to hit Columbia. Half my company died within the first 30 minutes and even then we knew what we were up against and we were the ones with the superior weapons. If there are aliens down there, they know were coming, they probably won't take kindly to visitors, and were going in with no weapons! Of course I'm nervous!" |

Everyone is in so I talk.
"Alright people we are in the planets atmosphere. The is very little levels of oxygen and high levels of co2. 5 minutes without a suit and you dead." I say.
"Now head to the bottom of the ship towards the hanger. You should be excited, its the first time you actually get of the ship in 2 years." |

Everyone went into the hangers and I went in with them.
Then a voice rang out. "10 seconds till touch down"
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1," Then, the ship rumbled as we landed.
"Ok everyone suit up" I say. And they do.
In the middle of the hanger was a transport truck.
"Ok everyone in it" I say
Everyone who had volounteered entered the truck.
"I'll drive" Said Sean
I nodded and he got in the drivers seat.
"Ok, you're going to do a quick look around. Find something interesting and report back to me. I will send in a team to collect samples. Then we will search for alien life. If there is one" I say
I walk up to the side of the hanger doors and push a button.
Massive doors slowly drift apart until there is a large gap.
The truck leaves and the door closes behind them. |
