They are professional, they are better than you, you have no right to "joke" about them.
Like how Lebron James "chokes", hes a pro, he doesnt have to try anymore... |

If they're better than us, then they should be able to perform great in clutch situations.
LeBron doesn't. Hence the jokes.
See? |
|

ddude, they have tried in the earlier years, they get PAID millions to SHOW up, a lot of them just want the money. |

If they "aren't trying" as you say, then their team should just dump them or they should retire. But of course, the NBA is rigged and stupid, so why does it matter? |

Am I directing this whole thread to the NBA? No. I don't know if you know what a contract is but, they have contracts... |

I'm using the NBA and LeBron as an example. Hurpaderp. Lol.
And the team could easily trade or release a player, regardless of the contract. |

They easily could, the players don't care where they play, they just want the money. |

But anyways, back on the topic of performing, since it's quite obvious we've strayed from that.
Yes, they're better than us. But look at some of the best players who haven't come up clutch:
Fernando Torres (yes, I'm taking a shot at Chelsea)
John Terry (as much as it hates me to say it, he choked in 08)
LeBron James
(it's early, so I can't think of anyone else)
They've proved themselves to be great players, but jokes are because they can't finish or perform late in games. |
|

If Lebron scores like 30 points per game in the playoffs or whatever, why does everyone take it out on him if they lose? I mean the other players could do a LITTLE better. |

True, but you'd expect someone like LeBron to pick up the slack. That's what a superstar player does. The other players are "role players", meaning they chip in where they need to. He's like the "scapegoat" if everything goes wrong. Team doesn't win? Blame it on the superstar. |
