Since I'm a very insular man who's always curious to see how backwards America is, what other countries have a Pledge of Allegiance (or rough equivalent)?

No real pledges here, most patriotic thing we do in school is on independence day we sing the finnish national anthem. Altough in elementary school we used to pray before going to eat lunch, that is a bit odd.

No pledge here or anything patriotic at all - considering the national anthem is about the royal family and is very Anglo-centric, and people here don't really like the union.

^ you live under obama, idiot And that is indoctrination. Over here, you are called a racist if you show any patriotism at all which isn't on a royal holiday

If you want students to pray in school; then do it in a religion-orientated school; not a public school.

We added "under god" only after we wanted to separate ourselves further from the "commeeeeeez".

Want to know how lucky you have it in America? The ANC is trying to forever instill guilt and inferiority upon the white children in classes with this pledge. We the youth of South Africa Recognising the injustices of our past, Honour those who suffered and sacrificed for justice and freedom. - Basically we have to respect terrorist organizations that actively tried to kill people like many of our fathers in the Bush War, etc. We will respect and protect the dignity of each person, And stand up for justice We sincerely declare that we shall uphold the rights and values of our Constitution And promise to act in accordance with the duties and responsibilities that flow from these rights. - This is actually something I like, if it wasn't for the first lines.

Yeah, the first three are kind of sketchy. The morally correct thing to do would be to forgive and forget, put the past behind. But no...
