I sat on the ground in the garden racking my brain. What was I supposed to be doing? Why did I come out here? I hate it when I do things like this. I groan, the serene surroundings of the garden not working their calming magic on me. |

Jinx was currently climbing the large tree in the garden. She smiled as she thought of the few kids on the ground. Most people weren't paying attention and wouldn't notice if she tried to sneak up on them. She could probably scare most of them easily.
'I wonder if I should try that,' she thought as she took a break from climbing and sat on one of the lower limbs of the tree. 'I have nothing else to do. I finished unpacking a while ago.'
Jinx glanced at her empty hand. If she wanted she could use an illusion and trick some people into think they were in danger. Or she could use her potions and such to actually put people in danger.
'No not yet. Not now. I haven't even been here for an hour....'

I sit at my desk, slouching heavily and staring off into space. Going over various incantations in my head. I heard the teacher explaining the importance of an Elven War or something like that, but to me it was a backround noise. A minor annoyance that interfered with my thoughts. Not anything that I should bother myself with. |

I remained strolling about...thinking...My backpack and jacket remaining in my dorm room (If, we have those yet, but guess how we are in the garden...we do.)
I continued, walking about, my hands remained in my jeans pockets, I refused to be my alternate self really, it seemed pointless on the ground...My head moved about, trying to find something to look at while paying attention to my front. |

I sigh deeply, are teacher wasn't exactly skilled with magic. He was an Orc, or as they preferred to be called "U'ruuk." He was a veteran of the very war he was talking about, so he knew a bit more then the textbooks, but I didn't care. I grab a bit of cotton out of my pocket. A basic but helpful spell compontent. I mutter a spell, being careful to pronouce it correctly, but not alert the teacher. Soon, I feel energy being released from my body, and the air fizzles. My body seems hazy, being that I'm standing in an illusion. I follow up with a teleportation spell, despite feeling lightheaded from my last illusion spell. I make a few hand gestures, followed by a quick incantation. Everything flys past me in a haze. I find myself in the garden, surrounded by other students. |

I fall over onto my chest, coughing. That teleportation spell had knocked the wind out of me, I didn't pronouce everything correctly it seems. I roll over onto my back, feeling a dull pain. Spreading through my body. "Pathetic." I say to myself. Still coughing. At the very least my illusion held up. |
