Well now it's back to politics. Those damn liberals are pushing gun control even FURTHER....
Let me explain something to you idiots.
Person gets a gun. The gun shop goes a background test to see if you are a criminal or a sociopath. If not, you put you fingerprints on a paper (which the gun shop puts into a file, in case you go crazy and do a shootout or something) along with some basic information. You pay for the gun, you get the ammo, and walk out. You carry the gun around with you because it's a messed up world and a psychopath could be anywhere. You go to a mall, a person gets out a rifle, you or someone else shoots him in the head before he can do any serious damage. PROBLEM SOLVED. SHOOTING PREVENTED.
In this case, less killings would happen and it would actually be a safer world.
Rather than...
Person gets a gun. The gun shop does a background test to see if you are a criminal or sociopath. If not, you put down your fignerprints, sign a complete paper about your life, etc., etc. which goes into a file which gets government approval. Then, you wait 7 days to get the gun (the shooting is delayed 7 days :P). You get the gun, and can't so much as leave your property with it on you.
With this case, as we have now, means that the criminal steals the gun or takes somebody else's, and goes and has a shootout while helpless lawbiding citizens flee wishing they had guns. This means a world not as safe.
So why squander the 2nd amendment? Why keep us from having guns? Why blame the guns when it was the psychopath handling them?

Drugs, every shooter is typically on a anti depressant drug.

Why not to ban assault weapons:
After the ban.
A car pulls into your driveway.
You run into your bedroom, or wherever to get out a hangun.
They step out of the car, 5 strangers, armed with assault rifles that they had recently illegally imported from Mexico.
You run to the phone and call 911.
By that time they are at your door, and all you have is one hangun.
You fire off 6 shots through your door since you can't have a clip any larger.
You kill one, and wound another.
Then the 3 remaining go full auto on you, shooting out about 8 rounds a second.
You're dead, and it's the government's fault.
Seems like you had no chance. Now lets look at the US where it is now.
Before the ban.
A car pulls into your driveway.
You run into your bedroom, or wherever to get out an assault rifle.
They step out of the car, 5 strangers, armed with assault rifles that they had recently bought.
You run don't bother calling 911 because that would waste your time.
You creak your door open and fire off 80 shots in 10 seconds since you have a 100 round magazine.
You kill all of them.
You go back inside and call 911 to tell them what had happened.
Your life is saved, due to the Government not banning a gun that could be stolen anyway.
To a liberal, this situation they say would probably not be likely.
But isn't this a little bit more likely than a person who randomly walks into a school and kills 26 people, 20 of them kids???
What would keep the same thing happening with a ban?
Just go out of our country, buy an assault weapon illegally and smuggle it back in...
To a liberal, this would be impossible due to America's great security.

Yes. I agree with you. BUT. Assault weapons should, in my opinion, be restricted a little more than a shotgun or pistol. Become they are military grade weapons that can do a lot of damage. I don't think they should be handed out as freely as pistols IF you could get one as easily as I was talking about....
And yes. What happened to society? What happened to when people would actually take Sunday as a holy day? I read history books and compare to to today. BIG DIFFERENCE.
