Support. You can't make another account unless you buy a whole other computer. What if a bunch people were sharing a computer? If one person gets IP banned, then they would all be punished. |

IP bans are silly, especially at public places, such as a library.
IP ban at library = LAWSUIT! |

Unlike the opposers, I have a life.
Deleting your data cookies will erase ALL of your hard-earned memory. IP bans will erase all of your hard-earned stuff. So all limiteds, GONE! All of the badges you can't get anymore, GONE! |

I'm going to voice my own opinion on this subject. I have been IP banned before, I admit it was a completely fair punishment for my actions. It was only for a week, but I'm not mad about it. IP bans are important to keep certain people away from the community so others can play game like it was meant to be. Recalling the April 1st site 'breach' (that's what I call it), would you want to let the same thing happen again, and maybe more severe? No, of course not. So I think IP bans should stay. |

No... IP bans are drastic measures. If a user gets framed once it won't be IP. If they do get framed and not IP banned they change their login settings.
Simples.

IP Bans are there to protect users from toxic players. If you are framed or get your account jacked, contact roblox via their customer service or appeals inbox's.
If you are that worried about your IP getting blocked for something you didn't do, try using annonimizer services. |

@Guv
Tecmag does NOT speak words of genius. IP bans CAN'T protect users in any way. In fact, it hurts everyone. Let's say some people reported someone for no reason. The victim is deleted. The victim makes another account to enjoy and they DON'T BREAK THE RULES! The cyber bullies report them again, then Roblox IP bans the victim again and prevents the victim from playing. Any users with dominus that were on that computer had EVERYTHING erased, regardless of whether they did anything wrong or not. |

IP users protect much more then they harm. False reports rarely ever have an effect, and when they do, a simple appeal can mean a world of difference. Not to mention that most of the time people are "false reported" it's because they actually are breaking rules, it's just that no one bothered reporting it because it seemed minor, the reports are accurate and the punishment just.
If you get your account permanently banned, you where doing something serious. If you couldn't get an appeal, it was obviously serious. There are also a lot of steps that are taken before an IP ban, such as an IP new account block, which prevents an IP from registering new accounts. You don't just get IP banned, and when they IP ban, they don't IP account delete. Infact I have a friend who had their sister get IP banned, and when she made an appeal because it was her sister that had done wrong not her, the IP was unbanned, but her sister's account deleted. Her account was intact and went on like normal. Roblox doesn't just toss out permanent account deletions like yesterday's special. |

Despite me being no reason IP Banned before, no support.
This is what is keeping Minish and the other extreme hackers out of ROBLOXia. |

IP bans are weeklong, they apply to the IP that was moderated(meaning specific computer), and you cannot visit the roblox site if you are IP banned. Also you can get around it easily.
You are misinformed |

@random
Sometimes, IP bans last forever. So the OP is NOT misinformed. |
|

Um.. I believe, the ban that lets you not make any more accounts, uses your IP address to do so..
or, it uses cookies, which are easily deletable, else they wouldn't be able to tell it was you making an account anyways.
no support. A regular ban that blocks you from making new accounts is virtually an IP ban (are they not the same anyways?) Hackers IP banned is much more effective at preventing them from coming back. I have never even heard of a case, where someone used a software to get someone IP banned so when they log on they are banned. If a hacker/exploiter is not IP banned, he may make new accounts freely. (Feel free to explain how they prevent someone from making accounts without information from a cookie or IP to tell who it is, if I am wrong.)
Stop being lazy; file an appeal and keep filing it. ROBLOX tends to have a soft spot towards BC+. |

There's no reason to get rid of IP bans. Sure, there are some mistakes in the ban system but if there's actual mistakes they generally take care of it, everything else they just don't care about. But if there weren't IP bans little kiddies who didn't know how to use tor browser, change their IP or just use a proxxy would just make another account and continue breaking rules. |
