Wait Didn't you once say that "ALL REAL MUSIC WAS CREATED IN THE 60S-90S"? I swear you did. What's the point of making music if you know you're going to suck?

Good music never left, how can you 'bring it back'? "I'll bring him down, a king with no crown"

People have different music opinions. I guess for me, I define bringing the "good music back" as bringing the rock n roll, the grunge back. ~there's a method to my madness~

What's funny is that most likely (and 100% chance actually) the only modern music she's heard is what's played on the radio. And that's just sad.

@crash I don't know if it's "sad", but where else do you hear music without purchasing it other than on TV, on the radio, and at dances? I don't purchase music if I don't know/like it. But I already owned a bunch of classic rock stuff, so I grew up with it. I hate rap. And autotune. And computerized beats. I like the modern song Pumped Up Kicks. They use some dubstep and voice changing, but there is a band, which other musicians don't have. ~there's a method to my madness~

@ CRASH- Don't judge without knowing crash. For your information i've listened to many different independant bands, and they all sound the same. Rock today is too generic. Pop, hip-hop, and "dance" all use autotune and drum machines. Rap is essentially talking with rhythym, and most rap songs have extremely questionable lyrics. Jazz is good, blues is good. But you don't know how much I listen to new music away from the radio. I use independent music trading sites all the time. Seriously, if you don't like my definition of good music, you don't have to listen to it. Nor do you have to judge me on something you don't know about.

Slipknot =/= Death Metal 2) Is there anything inherently wrong with drum machines? 3) If the only Rap songs you've heard had bad lyrics, then you're obviously not looking very hard.

1.- Yes, I have. 2.- Yes, there is. You can't use a drum machine live, and they aren't original. People need to get a good drummer and come up with a good, real beat. 3.- Did I not say most? Read things carefully. There are some without bad lyrics, but I said MOST.

#70471991Friday, June 22, 2012 3:51 AM GMT

1- Please. You probably think that Screamo is Metal or something, and you haven't ever heard of Drone or Grindcore. 2. Closed-minded elitist. Samael are a Black Metal band and they get along just fine with a drum machine.not to mention old Finntroll, Cruentus, etc. 3. Still, I seriously doubt that you ever looked.

Don't tell me what I have and haven't done when you don't freaking know me. You obviously don't get it. Drum machines are for people that aren't creative enough to come up with their own music or to get a drummer that can. You can doubt all you want, but you obviously don't know very much about the music i'm talking about. Anyway, where's your place in this conversation? PS- I don't care what you listen to, because new metal isn't original AT ALL. You want good metal? Try Iron Maiden, or Black Sabbath.
