Well, I have a fender. That's for guitar though, so idk |

Would you be opposed to a Solid State amp? Because amp brands like Fender, Orange, and Marshall are best. But there are some tubes in those brands, too. |

Like, I use a Marshall Mini Stack for band practice. Best investment ever. Very cool, signature Marshall sound at a reasonable price (about $250-300). If you don't want to pay that much, try a Fender Mustang, also a good amp available in 5 different wattages. I paid $99 for my Mustang 1 |

Marshall Amps are pretty good. I don't recommend Orange amps since they're way too expensive. Fender makes better bass amps. |

Good point on the Orange amp's price. Unless you get a miniature for about 89 dollars, which can't really be used for band practice. But one other thing; STAY AWAY FROM CRATES. |
|
|
Crate honestly isn't that bad. :/ |

Actually, they are. I've had 3 that have all broken within 2 months of average use, and they sound terrible. If you're paying that much for one, get a good one at least. Marshall mini stacks or Marshall anything, Fender Mustangs, Rolands are good, Crates aren't built well at all. If you try and deal with the corporate people at Crate, they aren't willing to replace the amplifier with a defect and they're jerks about it. Crates just don't have a very good sound to them at all, IMO. |

Behringer amps are pretty decent. So are Fender amps.

Yeah, Behringers are good. |

@My
Not the Crate amp i'm using, my teacher has had this amp for YEARS and it still sounds good. I don't know what kind of Crate amps you got that were terrible. |
|
|
They were Gx20M's at least one was. They're along the lines of Line 6 spiders- they suck. The vintage ones are fine, but the new ones just aren't manufactured well, and they sound like a dying walrus. I know at least 5 people that have had problems with crates, and i've never had anyone I know like a Crate they bought. |

I love tube amps, I'm forgetting the name of the pedal that I use for it, I know it's a distortion pedal but I'm forgetting what brand but it all depends on what kind of guitar music your using that amp for |
