Miscellaneous thoughts started to speed through my mind. Suddenly concious, I opened my eyes slowly. I looked up upon a bright, open sky. I lifted my right hand and suddenly realised that something was in it. Lifting it to my face, I peered at a card. Without further inspection, I pocketed it. Feeling the weight of my cane in my left hand, the next thing to do was sit up.. slowly. |

I observed the guards in awe. This was magnificent; this was something I had never experienced! There was no telling what it looked like from the inside. For once this evening, my heart beat wildly inside of my chest, in hope that this was not a dream. |

I decided to begin to absorb heat, or errr...light. In case we got ambushed or something. I really don't now what to do, and my patience is wearing off.

I walk slower, thinking about the card. It looked familiar. |

Diamond-
The gates opened up fully, revealing the same line of upturned ground in the distance, the one on which every single being woke up on. Even farther is a cloud of dark smoke, intertwining and mixing with the delicate blue sky of the land.

Each one of you obtains flash of an image in front of your eyes. It is the same black fire as when you woke up, the whispers still unclear. The image lingers on in your eyesight. Depending on your level of mental strength you may have gained a headache. |

Violet
The images returned. The vague visual pictures inside my mind, but they weren't too much of a bother. I began to feel slightly nauseous, but not too bad. I also recognize the spot where I had awoken not too long ago. |

The whispers, the fog... I saw it all again. Was it a dream? No. It couldn't be, considering I was in one already. Once it was over, my head was throbbing. But, finally, the truth was clear to me.

I stumble over. over understanding what I just saw. I begin walking more slowly since I feel like my brain just exploded. |

An image appears in my mind. Black fires, a voice whispering to me. I begin to get a slight headache from this and I stop walking, so I can figure out what's happening right now. |

I took in everything around me. Everything was so bright, so clear.. slowly, I started to get up. Taking my cane into hand and brushing off little specs of dust off my suit I walked forward to what seemed to be a road.. |

I paid little attention to the images, even though they flashed before my eyes. I had other things to worry about. |

Her eyes glide over the group of them, pondering over their sudden expressions of surprise or discomfort. Perhaps they had a sudden strike of fear?

I did not respond, but rose to my feet hesitantly. As much as I wanted to deny it, this was no dream- or, rather, a nightmare. This was all real- Diamond, the war, these people, this card... It was not so hard to identify the truth when you're head is throbbing from a massive headache. By now, you would have thought that I would have awoken from this nightmare, if it were one.
"May I ask why we, of all living, breathing souls, were picked for this task?" I piped up. |

‘It was a random selection made by the cards themselves. It really is a complicated matter, mother tried to explain it to me but I’m not sure I fully understand the process. Their…’knowledge’ connects with-even transcends-dimensions. I’m not completely sure where she got them from or who made them but whoever it was certainly knows their way around a spell.’ Her brother walked behind her, eyes half closed. She wasn’t the best at understanding concepts like these.
