There are democratic socialist nations like Sweden and Norway which have close the highest quality of living in the world. Of course, those two have a higher quality of life than the ever fantastic, capitalist USA.

The United States has a higher HDI than Sweden, and Norway is almost a police state. ~Just a female businesswoman

Norway: > Life satisfaction score: 7.6 > Employment rate: 75% (4th highest) > Self-reported good health: 80% (8th highest) > Employees working long hours: 2.66% (5th lowest) > Disposable income: $30,465 (3rd highest) > Educational attainment: 81% (tied - 15th highest) > Life expectancy: 81.2 (10th highest) You call this drunk? A drunk person's life is ruined by аlcohol. People who are drunk all the time do not get employed, and therefore no income. Аlcohol's not good for your health or life expectancy. It's not good for your education, because it kills brain cells. Norway is the second happiest country in the world.

Capitalism is when there is a huge gap between rich and poor, so there are these very rich snobby people, and these sad poor people that no one bothers to help. The economy is not regulated in capitalism so they go through recessions a lot. Socialism is when the government cares for its people. Universal healthcare, social welfare (which I hate to admit, is abused), and economic regulation are all part of socialism.

Ok, so there's a line that has communism on the far left and capitalism on the far right. Socialism is in the middle, probably because it's a balance between both. Communism has disadvantages, capitalism has disadvantages. Both are opposite of each other, so if you mix them together, it solves disadvantages!
