Adventurer's life seemed to take a long down road, eh Will? Marching along the grassy fields with not a trace of an idea on what you're going to do? All that you have two canteens of water, knapsack, dried meat, and a nearly broken short sword?
Though Life for some reason seems to like you.. a small village is ahead! It seems to be bustling with life even from half a mile away!
Now, this must be where you begin..

Well, let's get going! Heads towards that village. Maybe they'll know some places to explore. And have some good eating, too.

You bustle down towards the village, starting to increase your speed.

You approach at the not-so-entrance of the town. A long dust road goes down the center, all the stores lined up and some houses behind the stores.
What a wealthy civilazation..
Starting to walk to the side where the wooden walkway that goes across to give access to all the stores, you wonder the simple yet sometimes fatal question...

You head, stepping lightly on the wooden walkway and looking up at the hanging signs as you pass by to see if any seem interesting..

You walk forward and step right in.
Hmm.. destiny sure does smell funny..
The place is packed with people of many cultures, races, and places. Would a nice room be good to let it die down or go look around and meet some (possibly not) friendly people? |

You walk towards the center, checking around.
Shady looking stronger build type men holding large weapons in dark corner..
Two people, women and man, in purple and gold robes to the left side of the room..
One open stool on the bar counter next to some man wearing a pirate hat with a ratty overcoat..
An orc drinking down large keg of guessed mead near the center..
A classy looking fellow in the corner, sporting a fine glass of wine.. |

You take a seat next to the lad and immediatly a heavy essense of alchol drifts over to you.
He looks over, droopy eyed and holding a large bottle of rum.
"Thacts shep was s'pposed to be all m-mine..."
He took another large gulp of the rum, still looking over at you. |

"Oh, da one thar thieving landlubber took.
Musta be down 'ur somwher, jus' not quite sure whur."
He gulped down more rum deeply yet again.
"Crew of six landlubbers, all still tryin' to set sail." |

"Ha!" he pushed forward the empty rum bottle, turning completely over to you.
"I'm in no swording cond-dition. And thar look like they can herndale a s-"
He stopped for a moment, considering.
"Yar brawl 'em all? That sems like quitee the loongshot." |

"If yar insist. They should all be off snoozin' by now though one or two will be on watch.. coople of miles from hur is the port, you can borrow old Sugar oot front. She be the old black horse that I err.. also borrowed.." |

"Ok then." I begin running to the dock |

Within fourty minutes, you arrive.
By this time it is just now starting to get dark. The structure of the port is mainly made of some sort of stone though little sections of the docks are of wood.
Third to the last ship is a huge pirateship.. that must be it. |

I'll scout the ship from a distance before going on board. |

Deciding not to take the stairs down to the docks just yet, you take a look from a distance.
Captain's cabin has a dimmed light coming out of it.
Crows nest has some sort of figure on the top.
Lower deck has all lights off. |

Can I search around the dock for a ranged weapon? |

Starting to walk down the stairs you start searching for some sort of ranged weapon.
(d20 is combat, d12 is for stuff like search, sneak, the item being there that you wanted to buy, ext.)
Result: 3/12
All that is found is two rusty bronze throwing knifes nearing to a breaking point. |
