However, another couple orcs have spotted you, as the dead one managed a fraction of a scream before death. One is holding a flaming brand and a dagger, the other has a club. |

Andor dove forwards, executed a swift combat roll, and stood up to the side of the Orc with the brand. After he had regained his footing, he turned, and delivered a swift hook kick to the side of the brand, hoping to knock it out of the Orcs hand. |

Your power dips, and you lose flight power for a moment as the tall guy starts gathering energy. You see him siphon the power out of several of the people nearby him, and the air becomes very, very cold. Oh, and those people die. He then fires a large beam of energy at the old man that vaporizes the people next to him, melts some of the castle walls, and sends you flying at least fifty feet further up.

Your power only holds out as far as a bit further, onto a hill overlooking the castle. You see the tall guy pummeling the old man. Colette is shaking.

After a barrage of blasts, the old man is standing there. He's unharmed, and doesn't seem to have moved much. By contrast, the tall guy is panting, sweating, and tried seeming. Colette is in awe and in pain, in awe because the old man is completely alive, and in pain because she isn't. |
