Currently, there are very few safe ways to make a profit on ROBLOX. You can sell cosmetic items, buy and sell limited items, or build a place and make tickets from the visits you get. Now, many people have discovered other ways to make a profit. These people sell vehicles, scripts, buildings, and even places to other people. This is okay, but the system it uses is not trustable or safe. Most of the time, Robloxians use free models to give the model or script and use T-shirts to complete the transaction. Scamming of this is widespread, but we continue anyways. The ROBLOX market is an unsafe place. This is why I'm proposing a functional stock market and business platform. It would be a safe way to buy and sell items without fear of being scammed. But it would cover more than just scripts and models, it would open up a whole new market for ROBLOX. So, lets give an example. I own a movie-producing company called Legacy Studio. We want to make a profit off of our films that we work hard on, but there is no way to do so. But if we had a platform to do so, we would be able to make a grand profit. Lets say we produce a movie called Explorer. We put Explorer on Youtube, and we feel satisfied. Even though we get lots of views, we don't make any profit because we don't have a way to provide a theater-like experience. We win awards from our movie, but we don't make any sort of money. Our company is worth almost nothing since our workers don't get paid and movies don't make any money. Now, imagine the same scenario with a stock market and business platform. Legacy Studio releases Explorer, and it is shown in 3 or 4 theaters across ROBLOX. The movie theaters and us make a profit from the people who paid to see the movie, the workers at our company make money from their pay, and both of our company's values increase. The price for a share of our company incresases from 10 robux to 30, and the people who own stock in us make money too. I would say thats a huge win for all of us. Again, lets imagine a scenario without the platform, this time with a company that sells cosmetic items. We'll call the company Summer clothing. Today on ROBLOX there are very few companies that sell cosmetic items, and most of the people who do sell them do it on there own with no help from anybody else. The people who help work on the companies shirts get very little, unsafe pay from what they are doing. Most of the money from the sales of the items goes directly to the owner, and he is the only winner. Same scenario, with platform. The COMPANY releases a shirt, not under the CEO's name, but under the Summer Clothing's name. The shirt sells en masse, making thousands of tickets. The workers who helped design the shirt get paid safetly, the CEO makes money, and the companies overall value increases. Now the owners of shares from Summer Clothing own more expensive shares that they can sell and make thousands of robux from. Some more examples could be: -Selling forts and buildings to clans -Selling scripts to game builders -Selling drawings of Robloxians to other Robloxians (Watermarks!) -Selling ships and vehicles to game builders and clans -Selling communication technologies so the upcoming "Universes" can interact with eachother -Selling logos and art to businesses and clans (Watermarks!) If this was implemented, ROBLOXians would have real job oppertunites and more ways to make a profit off of normal things. It would also provide real-life experience on the stock market and investing. I would hate it if this were implemented with the 30% market fee, but I think a smaller fee (%10-%20) would be more reasonable. tl;dr: A stock market where people can make money and hold jobs. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I like this idea. I think that this would be a wonderful addition to Roblox's marketplace, and increase players satisfaction in the site's performance.

Videos would be overwhelming to moderate, since it's not a simple image to look over. But if you read the blog (concerning groups) they're planning to allow group profiting and selling models and items within groups.

Total support! I wanna start a clothing company on roblox, but I can't manage how people get paid and such. The problem is that some people might be dirty and keep the money that should go to their employees. Once again, total support!

Thanks for all your support guys- it wasn't easy to write this. And Mikkel, concerning that blog post, I still don't believe that would complete the experience.

No. We don't need a stock market on a kids game. It would make everything more confusing. Secondly, the movie theater thing isn't ROBLOX. Everyone knows, you cannot show movies in ROBLOX. ~I am not a Mythbuster. I am a LogicBuster.~

@1204 "No. We don't need a stock market on a kids game. It would make everything more confusing." >Optional. Its not like you would HAVE to be a company to produce these things. "Secondly, the movie theater thing isn't ROBLOX. Everyone knows, you cannot show movies in ROBLOX." >It is possible. Moderation would not be a problem, because uploading one would be a hefty fee. (1000-2000 robux, 20 minutes max) You have not busted my logic.

Nicely documented. From what I read I would support this. Although I have already heard of plans in the works for allowing people to sell models etc.

Questions: How would the money be distributed? How would they know who participated? What if someone joined, but did nothing and got paid? Would we need new video moderators? Are theaters game places, or just a section with videos? This is a good idea, except for some few unexplained items. Also, I think there should be certain items you can't sell because sometimes the item might be defective or won't work, so they'd still be getting scammed. “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.” ― Bill Gates

This is a great idea. Even though the 7-12 year olds would understand, it would probably teach them so they can use the early-gotten info later in life. Support.
