I whimper when I see the officer hurting Jacob. "No!" I scream and punch the officer in the face a knock him down. Jacob gives me pleading eyes and I nod, trying to do something.
"Zolten! Please you can't hurt Jacob! He has not done anything!" I tell in a pleading voice once I reach where Zolten was. "Please! He is like a brother to me! I will do ANYTHING if you just get him out of this mess," I plead. |

I hated executions.. Every time it was someone who probably had done nothing at all as was just being made an example of. If there was onlt someway to stop this. I frowned. |

"So if you were accused of something you didn't do and were to be executed you would not care?" I shrugged. "Well then I guess it's time." |

"I would care, I would be filled with rage, and I would be honored," I informed him.
"First, of course I would care about my own death like anyone one else would. Secound I would be filled with rage for my people have acted so foolishly against their masters and I have to die for their sins. Third and finally I would feel honored for my people will remember me as the boy who was executed and tortured for their recklessly and stupid behavior. And yes it is just about time. Guards grab the boy and the others!"

I walk past My Master. I see the gaurds taking away some guy. I wish I could just beat them up. |

"No... No!" I yell as they start taking Jacob away. "Please!" I plead and I grab onto Zolten. |

I stand in awe, unable to move, as another slave latches on to Zolten. An act of kindness made my body move, I was unable to think. I grabbed the slave latched onto Zolten by the shoulders.
"Don't do it." I told her, pulling her back.

"I am sorry Niva but things has to be this way for the good of the people," my voice trails off as I slowly walk away. |

I frowned as I walked around the healing room. I glanced at the sick and wounded, I wasn't allowed to do anything myself unless it was another slave. I haven't been trusted around here for a while. One of the men who murdered my family had come in a few years ago.... You can imagine how that worked out.
"Ms. May? Do you have anything I could use to cut this," I said, holding my burnt hair in my hand. I turned to face the old woman.
"Yes... Yes I do. Check in the third drawer from the top over there," she said, motioning to a set of drawers. "After that help with this slave alright?"
I nodded. Ms. May was a great healer, a good role model, and she didn't mind slaves that much. She treated most of us like real people. |
