I don't know why you bash Granderson so much.
He is better then most of the Tigers line up including Jackson. (minus Fielder & Cabrera) |

That is where you are wrong.
Jackson is a much better fielding center fielder, and that is where you can stop comparing them. As Yankee Stadium has turned Granderson into a power hitter. |
|
|
@zim i don't bash him. i just think he gets way to much hype, and i really wouldn't want him on my team. why? because if im not mistaken, most of his home runs are solo shots. he sucks with runners on base or with runners in scoring position for that matter. not to mention he strikes out all of the time.
Jackson is so much better... |

Looking at fielding stats when Granderson played for Detroit.
He had a .993 fielding percentage with only 3 errors, 4 assists.
Looking at Austin Jackson's fielding last season he had 8 assists, 3 errors, and a .992 fielding percentage.
Pretty similar.
Second,
Granderson has hit for power at Comerica.
He hit 23 homers in 2007 (hit for .302), 22 in 2008 (hit for .280), and 30 in 2009 (hit for .249).
Jackson hasn't been the best hitter for average as he hit .249 last year and only 11 homers.

And if we want to talk last 3 years then.
Granderson has hit better then Jackson with runners on base and runners in scoring position.
Granderson:
Runners on: .258
Runners in scoring position: .238
Jackson:
Runners on: .249
Runners in scoring position: .226 |

<,<
You are trying to compare using different types of play styles. Jackson has never been a solid hitter until this season, also Granderson is 5 years or so older. |
|
|
yeah this is Jackson's breakout year. he sucked really bad last year. but i am talking about this year. |
|
|
@mity
lol ikr. twins are not going anywhere |
|
|
are you high for saying jackson is better than granderson? |
|
