In Dutch, there is a special way to show emphasises; we use the accent pointing to the right (é). It's very easy, you write the accent on the first vowel in a word: Mevrouw: Pardon, wie vroeg mij dat? (Miss: Pardon, who asked me that?) Man: Ík. (but you can also say 'ikke', this is the only exception) (Me) Rule: When the first vowel is a special or double vowel then the first letter gets the accent: Zíj (she) A few more words: Dát (that (het articles)), Dít (this (het articles)), Déze (this (for de articles)), Díe (that (de articles)), géweldig (great), ....

Note that emphasises can be used multiple times: Déze áuto ís géweldig! (this car is great/awesome!)
