I am making Roblox Electricity. It is fully customizable, requires no scripting knowledge, and will be released to the public. It has wires, generators, circuits(closed(realistic) and open(meaning no power return)). It calculates the position of the studs, so you dont have to use only 1x1x1 bricks. Its got so much more too! Go to the youtube link on my place. It is friend-only because it is NOT NEAR READY FOR DEMOS! There is so much more to do. I have alot of snippets though, so I estimate one to three months. First five people to post:

Mine is completely real world base. Such as....
Ex: Closed curcuits (may be turned off)
Ex: Power flow
Ex: Path of least resistance
Power flow: Somehow, If you have a motor rotating clockwise, and you turn the model around (180 degrees), it will rotate counter clockwise. Just like real world electricity.
Path of least resistance: If you have a wire, connecting a generator to an appliance, and there is a wire connecting to that wire that connects the two, the power willl run to the second wire. Ill make an example and post to youtube.

O.o There is alot of math involved in RoTricity. I have had to make 10 diffrent 3-D Drawings to help me explain the mathmatical formulas. Here is two snipets from one of them. It is to help me find the location of a stud. Yes. That is right. The position of a stud!
x = ((Instance.Position.x - (Instance.Size.x / 2)) + xRow)
z = ((Instance.Position.z - (Instance.Size.x / 20) + zStud)
I have also created 3-D drawings to explain the loops I needed to find it.

Electricity, easy. Though the one I made was VERY basicly done. Works though.
I couldnt be bothered to mess with complex math stuff at the time so did one using bricks. I might do a more complex one soon. |

If it really is "REAL" electricity with cables, and power "similar to how shields recharge" then it will change aircraft turrets and some but not all vehicles.
because the electricity can be used to power ships, and turrets in such a way that if the generator was destroyed it would make the turret or ship stop working.
resulting in more realistic battles given they'd be slightly more frustrating. |

Yes. He is right. You can preface scripts with "E", "Elec", "ER", or "Electricity" to make scripts require electricity. Such as:
E Plane Script
or
EPlane Script.
A script like "Elephant" can be run normally one of two ways.
1: Insert a value named NoE, NE, or NoElectricity
2: Disable some prefaces. You can leave Elec, and ER, but turn off the others.
