They wouldn't be able to; as the words are still part of the filter.
This is just a suggestion for a place where the words can be viewed, and thusly be avoided.

I prefer this idea:

because it makes it faster to know what word(s) must be changed and I don't have to search a list for 1 word.
About the issue of adding a dash or something to the bad word, it can be done even without this idea.
People who want to post bad words will always find a way around these kind of things but then they are reported and banned. This idea is meant for the legitimate forumers. |

It can be done either way; yes. But highlighting it shows them when it stops breaking the filter. If we had a list in some separate location; then you would not know when you can stop putting symbols in the word to bypass the filter.

It's really annoying having to blindly edit my post down to something that I'm not happy with, >.<
Suggestion rating: 8 - REALLY helpful, allows people to know what's going on, allows the post to stay about the way the poster wanted it to be, instead of making a mess of it like finding a needle in a haystack.
Also, I would like to add another suggestion. When you mistakenly press post when there's something inappropriate, you get the "Post is blocked" message, yes, but you will still get banned afterwards! That's what happened to me sometimes. >:(
If it isn't broken, don't fix it. If the inappropriate post isn't posted, don't ban.

I've never been banned for my posts getting blocked by the filter. I've not even gotten a warning for it...

Making it 16+ doesn't seem very helpful. I'm not even properly 13 and yet, I know them. However, this idea will help for "ACCIDENTAL" reasons, not "PURPOSELY" reason.
If there's a bad word, how're you going to know which one? It's like finding a needle in a haystack when you're not even in the hay. |
