Yeah, but your arms are caught. Which means that you can't easily boost yourself forwards to bite something, because that would mean dislocating your shoulders.

I swung my foot up, aiming for the tentacles underbelly, the only going for my waist. I tried to dig the claws in my feet through the soft part of the tentacles while shaking to get free. |
