metallica have skill, hell 4 out of 5 of the top 5 guitarists of all time are metal guitaritst the 1 is jimi hendrix (correct me if im wrong but...) i think he is heavy rock which is kind of a weak metal
cold play's guitarist cannot do up to 50 notes per second like a good metal guitar player |

If you were to actually listen to Metallica's soft songs, you would realize that they are more than just "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOM NIAOOOOOOOOOOOW!" And don't call Metallica fans odd. At least we don't listen to artists who plagarize music from world renowned guitarists (like coughColdplaycough.....).
Look, Coldplay isn't terrible, but comparing a band that has been around for less than 10 years to one that has been playing almost thirty years doesn't work. And what Anaminus said, Metallica and Coldplay are in different genres of music, so a compairson between them doesn't make much sense. A compairson between Metallica and Megadeth or one between Coldplay and another pop-rock artist would make more sense.
And if we were to base this entirely on technical talent, Dream Theater would own every band in history. |
