if anything kali linux is better,even if it's a spiced-up version of debian
frankly though ubuntu is good,i had it for a primary OS then got bored of it so i got a clover UEFI install of OS X yosemite

Personally I like Windows (only XP and maybe 7) and Ubuntu, but seriously. I cannot figure out how to install it. Also the only Windows computers in my house are used by other people, so I'm stuck here. |

yeah, I got the same. I think i'm going to try to copy the player from my mom's PC (which I put Roblox on secretly)onto my Chromebook with linux using a flash drive. Then i'll just pick to open it with Wine.
I hope it will work cause I miss COR 5 (call of robloxia 5) and Apocalypse Rising and playing with friends |

How to Install ROBLOX on Debian-Based Operating Systems (E.G.: Debian, Ubuntu, Ubuntu Variants)
1. Before you start, make sure you have 3D rendering capabilities on your OS by typing into the terminal, "glxinfo | grep direct". If a "yes" is returned, continue.
2. Install WineHQ, under Ubuntu by downloading the package under the official site.
3. Install Firefox, IE, or Chrome under Wine, and use it to download ROBLOX, because the site will think you are using Windows.
4. Launch the installer using Wine.
5. Everytime you want to want to play ROBLOX, you will now have to launch it under Wine.

All these people saying "ubuntu sucks" or "why dont you get a normal computer like the rest of the world?" Well then.
1. Speed. My even moderate laptop will start ubuntu from it off in less then 5 seconds. For windows to get that time they need supercomputer specs, watercooling,ETC.
2. Reliability. Ive literaly never, ever had a Ubuntu boasting machine crash, but the only kind of computer i see in computer repair shops is windows machines. and 90% of the time its the OS that messed up.
3. Security. Ubuntu is one of the most secure operating systems in the world, if not, it is the most secure. I can crack a windows machine in about 10-20 minutes, or even take the HDD/SSD out an plug it into another PC and browse the files to my hearts content.
4. Compatability. Ubuntu is compatable with nearly anything you can throw at it. Even get OpenStack, a ubuntu modded for servers, and you can add up to, if not more than 128 Cores. Imagine what ever piece of s*** your running, and times it by 128. thats a Linux machine. The only thing its not so good at is gaming, as it were never built for it.
5. How many people really use it. Googles servers... kings of the worldwide web... They are powered by ubuntu. Youtube? Also ubuntu powered. Facebook? Yep its ubuntu. Even apple cant make a server OS as good as OpenStack. They use Ubuntu. Even samsung. Oh you think thats the end of it? Nope, Even Android is a version of Linux. Not powered by it, it is it. So the next time you see a Samsung S6, think of Linux. And Apple uses a heavily modified version of Linux, its different, but the source code is not.
6. Government use. CIA, FBI, NSA, Secret service, All those computers you see, even in movies, are ubuntu or fedora.

8. Now i guarantee you 3. things. 1. If you were to ask the president of roblox, hed tell you ubuntu is used by roblox a lot more than you think, and 2, I know you use ubuntu at least 2 times during the day, unless you live in the woods, well maybe because droes are powered by linux. 3, if linux were completly removed from everything in the world, there would be a massive crash to nearly everything from smartphones to government server. |

1. ubuntu isn't used by roblox because they don't develop anything for linux lol.
2. redhat linux powers youtube and google,not ubuntu
3. servers aren't used for gaming because they have storage measured in petabytes and thus need a lot of cores with low clock speeds and fast RAM to manage it all in the same time that a consumer grade PC takes to manage its ~1 terabyte of storage.
4. linux is built from the ground up,ubuntu takes as much time to load as windows 7. the reason why it looks faster is because things like ubuntu core don't have a windows equivalent.
5. intelligence agencies still use windows 2000 as a matter of fact
6. linux is safer than windows because development for exploits on them are less popular,even at this point you could easily hack a linux machine using chromium as a pointer to hook your payload
